It ain't no millions, it's between 100,000 to 200,000 because most of the soldiers have been there atleast twice so far. Most were sent home and they were sent back to Iraq a few days, maybe a few weeks later to Iraq. It is hard to give an actual number how many soldiers have been drafted over to Iraq and Afghanistan since 9-11.

Currently, there are 130,000 troops in Iraq. The Bush administration intends to send 21,000 more. (Possible an additional 7,000 on top of that).

I think that the total who have gone to Iraq is on the order of 300,000. To be honest, that's how many troops the US should have in Iraq to achieve decisive action. What the Bush administration is doing is stay the course, and too little too late. The Iraqis will barely feel the effect of the troop increase.

I'm not sure how many contractors have been sent to Iraq ... accountability for who gets contracts is poor right now, and companies are not entirely willing to disclose the amount of people sent to Iraq, for supposedly "safety" reasons.

Depends on how you count.

Some of the troops have been there multiple times.
