I'm a John Lennon humanistic type. We are spending billions of dollars on wars right now, and there are probably billions of kids (including in the U.S.) who are starving. Can you morally telll me that these wars are more important than the kids?

My husband is in the army reserves and we recently found out that he is being deployed. We dont know where, when, or how long yet which is really making it harder to deal with cuz im not sure what to expect. my question is, How hard is it going to be to get through this? Does it go faster than you think? I know there are some questions that you dont ask a military wife but how else am i going to find out. I am scared that i wont hear from him that much and then i will sit there and worry if he is OK. i think i am going to lose it. Help me please.

Hello, I am a college freshman and this survey is for my U.S. government class. I have to ask 50 people, preferably an equal amount of men and women.

1. If a draft were to occur (all military positions, not just the front lines), do you believe women should be included?

If yes....

2. Should the women be allowed to fight on the front lines?

Please include your:
Sex
Religion
Age
Race
and Occupation

These factors will be used to present the information I have gathered from the survey in a graph.

Thanks to all who help out!

What facts and trends do you have to support this belief?Do you believe the new front line will be Africa after the Bush Administration has blown our chances of "real victory" in the Middle East? That is getting slowly but surely closer to home. Are we getting pushed back? What about the wild cards China and Russia?

I'm writing a paper on vietnam war protest songs, and I think a military perspective would be interesting.
Did you listen to these songs? Do you think they affected the war effort?

The US Air Force (USAF) may prepare the world's largest bomb - the Boeing Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) - for action aboard the Northrop Grumman B-2A Spirit by the end of 2007.

The Air Armament Center said on 17 January that it is "contemplating a quick-reaction capability" to integrate the 20 ft (6 m)-long, 30,000 lb-class (13,600 kg) weapon on the B-2A in a nine-month period starting after contract award.
