I am taking the test the week coming up and I am not sure I can pass it. I am having so much trouble in the math department. Everything else I do fine in. What happends if I fail all of the math. will that make it so I fail the whole asvab test?

As someone mentioned before, the ASVAB is not a "pass/fail" test. It is meant to determine if your are qualified for the job you chose to enlist for. The only advice I can give you is to study seriously because every MOS (job) in the military involves math. It doesn't matter if you are infantry, a cook, or a communications specialist, you will have to use math at some point in that field.

Ther ASVAB is not a pass/fail. Upon completion of the test you are going to be given a series of test scores. These scores will determine what Military Occupation Specialties (MOS) that you qualify for. The first score is the AFQT, if you score above 50 you should be good to go. I scored 97 out of a possible 99 and was eligible for any job I wanted. The math test was really easy when I took it, one part consisted of 88 addition and subtraction questions, you had 3 minutes to do it, I finished all 88. They are very easy questions. I don't remember much about the rest of the test other than that. Once you get in you can go to school to improve your tests scores if you don't do too well. If you have graduated high school you should have no problem qualifying with the ASVAB. Good Luck.

No, the asvab is a series of many tests, that determine how you are in many categories. Completely failing math won't bar you from anything, it would just lower the possibilities you would have in the military

Where I teach, we give the ASVAB. I suggest that you don't look into what they "deem" an appropriate field for you. Most of the students I work with don't really take their suggestions seriously. Still, it's not a matter if you pass or not. It's a matter of what you answer best. Remember, this test is a "snapshot" of you, on the day you take it. Don't have it "rule" what you do in life.

You wont fail the math portion but if you score low you will be put into a career field that will not need mathmatics.
