Hello, I am a college freshman and this survey is for my U.S. government class. I have to ask 50 people, preferably an equal amount of men and women.

1. If a draft were to occur (all military positions, not just the front lines), do you believe women should be included?

If yes....

2. Should the women be allowed to fight on the front lines?

Please include your:
Sex
Religion
Age
Race
and Occupation

These factors will be used to present the information I have gathered from the survey in a graph.

Thanks to all who help out!

If we were in a major conflict (WWIII), I would say yes. All citizens would likely be in the fight, man, woman, and child just like in Israel in the 1967 war. Until that time, or the dire threat of that time, I would say no. Many women of this era will enlist anyway. There have been too many couples with children at home who have had to serve. I believe there should always be one parent with the children.

We may be headed in the direction of mandatory military service since being subjected to recruiters is part of the No Child Left Behind Act unless the parent opts out of the provision.

also to expand i think that we should have compulsory 2yr military service like many other countries unless you were in college or medically excused. It would help with the shortage of military personnel as well as help with keep youth out of trouble, letting them experience a different kind of life/travel, and also help with the ever ballooning weight problems of this country.

No, I know this sounds bad. I just don't think women should be drafted. I think it should remain a woman's choice to join if they want to, and the women that do want to go should be allowed to fight on the front lines.

1. Yes
2. No and the reasons have to do with sanitary and safety reasons. I would't want to be in a tank or enclosed space with a female soldier while she is going through her cycle. If they can stop that then my answer would be yes.

Of course they should, or give up all the rights they have gotten in the last 200 years. If they get drafted, they should fight like any other soldier.
