1.Yes you are allocated time for laundry.
2.Yes you get farmers tan. If you are afraid of the pain of sunburn- how are you going to handle the rest of basic?? The unit should have sunscreen, or they should let you pick some up at the shoppette.
3.Basic can be fun if you let it, it is all about what you are willing to give and get out of it!

Yes, yes and no.
You have enough time for everything, if you manage your time. Buddy up for laundry. Have 1 person do the laundry while a buddy shines boots and presses the next days uniform.
You will get tanned, not sunburn. The drill sergeants will make you use sunblock. They get in trouble if you get hurt.
The only fun is graduation. You will do things that amaze you. You will develop more self confidence than you've ever had. But you'll be to busy and to tired to have fun.

Usually laundry is bagged and shipped to the quartermaster laundry. You will not have time or facilities for it.
You will wear a hat full time when outside. You can expect alot of sun but we were authorized sunscreen.
I did not have any fun at all.
Don't worry though, in no time you will look back and laugh at all the things you had to do. It is not really that bad. There is much harder training ahead. The only reason basic seems bad at the time is because you have never done anything like it before. I was 17 when I enlisted. (A child soldier according to the UN). I was scared of basic and my recruiter just pointed out some of the fat slouches at the MEPS station and said "Hey, those fat fu(ks made it, you willl too."
Good luck! Keep your mouth shut and do as you are told. It will all be over in no time.

1. Yes.
2. Yes -- farmers tan -- you have much more to be "scared" about than a sunburn.
3. Yes -- hard, challenging, exciting, and in a lot of aspects "fun.". But you won't think there is ANYTHING fun about it for the first 2-3 weeks.

1. Yes, you are allowed to do your laundry.
2. You will spend a LOT of time outside -- (sunscreen may not be a bad idea)
3. No, nothing fun about it. The military is serious business, what you learn in Basic may save your life someday.

1. Time for laundry? Yes. Didn't wear the same utilities for 13 weeks. We were given time on weekends to wash clothes by hand on the wash rack and hang up to dry.
2. Tanned? Yes. Forearms and face. The rest of your body is covered by wearing utilities.
3. Fun? Yes. Enjoyed having someone in my face 10 - 14 hours a day yelling at the top of his lungs. I do it again if they'd let an old fart like me back in.

1. Send everything to the Quartermaster.
2. Nope I got sunburned, wear sunscreen on your face and ears, ACU's and soft cap will cover the rest.
3. Yes once I got over myself and realized all the smoking was for my own good. I made the physical stuff a contest of wills. I never gave up and I learned to enjoy myself
Oh if you need a break from Drill Sergeants, go to church, every Sunday. They aren't there.
