I read a horrible news story yesterday- A vet that fought in Iraq was so depressed traumatized and emotionally hurt, he tried to get help from the VA for his emotional trauma- but was told he was on a waiting list- The vet couldnt wait, and killed himself.
WHY was he on a waiting list to be helped??
Of the billions of dollars being blown on Iraq, what percenatge is being spent to help the soldiers who come back? I stongly oppose this war, but do feel the vets deserve top notch care, and millions dollars should be spent to make sure all vets get full treatement for any physical or emotional injuries.
Has Bush fullfilled his promice at taking care of the vets that came back from Iraq, or has he turned his back on them?
In having the soldiers serve multiple tours, its almost as if they are regarded little more than cannon fodder. They deserve better....
