Very difficult, we just went through that with my son who has 13 years in, Sgt, after two tours in Iraq, we got him off Kelly Hill and into TRADOC at Benning. You need to get to know the people at the 29th and start smoooching! If you are qualified and have done your time in the sand box they might take you. They just had a huge turnover there because most of the cadre had never even pulled a remote tour muchless combat.

You should know by now that the army put you where they want you. You may request any assignment you want, but in most cases , you will be disappointed in what the army hands you.

Have the proper MOS, get stationed there, and then ask.

It is usually a dead end job and you would be better to ReUp for a good school.

You really need to have a hook up at DA. If you don't , you may have trouble.
