Stuck in nuetral are we? The Leopard II...the latest model is the Leopard 2A6EX (German main battle tank) probably one of the best in the world, keeping up with their tradition of good tank designs.

No those designs are almost 70 years old.
IIRC, the current German vehicle is the Leopard IIA3
This is very similar to the M1A1 Abrams. The tanker troops I've talked with believed that the German thermal sights were better than the US, but it has a slower top speed, and a somewhat older armor design. Like aircraft though, it really depends on the crew.
The A4 "Mannheim" model is being evaluated with an 140mm smoothbore gun.

No, they stopped using them long ago. I believe that France use some Panther tanks after the war.
Germany currently use the Leopard 2 tank which is comparable to the M1A1; although, the Leopard 2 sports a longer barrel 120 mm gun. Longer barrel means higher muzzle velocity which means harder hitting

No, what is produced now is the Leopard tank, considered to be the absolute best in the world. Which is no surprize given germany's great designs. One other thing most people do not realize is that the hull design and deck from below the hanger deck of all American Nimitz class aircraft carriers is modeled after the german battleship Bismark. The midway class carriers, uss midway, uss coral sea and uss franklin roosevelt built and launched right after ww2 were of the same design as bismark below their hangar decks. Germans make some really great stuff.
One last thing. The Saturn V rocket that took the apollo space crafts to the moon, was initially designed during ww2 by von braun a german scientist that came to america and built our space program. The saturn V rocket was to be the rocket used to bomb new york but the war ended prior to it's construction.

The Panther was basically an upgrade of the Tiger unit and was more of an evolution rather than a total redesign. The Tiger was a powerful and deadly piece of hardware but in the military stagnation = death and defeat. The answer is constant change, upgrades and improvments. Do you wonder why the U.S. built the F18 and doesn't fly the Corsair anymore? We had PLENTY after WWII!

One of the favorite questions. Ok synchronize your disney
watch. Say to 1775 when the years were just right for the
deck of all communist rules over the free nations. Now place
the setting in cambodia first planet, Germany is the strongest
empire, all science, agraria, and hostile troops, invasion is
imminent across the books. The panther technology is
smuggled German army commands without the United Nations, Peacecorp, churches or generally any world rules. Now
this archaic tank system is saleable, it worked for the Stargate
3, 8 and later, they did subdue cannibalism and refugees. So
what did the job for natural conservatory and reserves africans
could work for europe. Wrong science, deemed to go much
further in domestication by design, Germany got surrounded
every time, and is punished with severe penalties for alien site.
Now are they now assembled, yes the peace corps itself has
well over 2000 in action to surpress rebellions, all on Mars.
Though vintage, or with laser updates, thats a new question.

Definitely not-they stopped being produced at the end of the war. The German Leopard tank is widely acknowledged as being the best tank in the world at present- better than anything the US, UK or Russia have. Obviously American egos prevent many of them from acknowledging the fact but I think most who are knowledgeable about modern armour accept that currently American armour is not the best in the world.
