Well, being an officer has many advantages, so if you can qualify, I'd try for it.

not sure I understand the question. If you are still in high school the JR OTC would be a very good idea as this will get you promoted faster in Boot camp instead of leaving boot as a E-1 you could leave as a E-2 or 3. If you mean go to a military college well that depends on what you want out of your career. Do you want to be an officer than the ROTC is a very good start if you want to be an enlisted man than just enlist now.

Hell Yeah! I'm in AF ROTC. It is a lot of fun-and those people become some of your long life best friends. We go through something a lot of peers around us, don't go through so it is a very unqiue experience. Plus, there are a lot more and better benefits as an officer, ex:-you major-basically becomes your job, so you don't worry about gettting stuck with a job that you don't like. So, hell yeah! Just make sure you meet the height; weight requirement and you pass the physical examination, maintain a GPA of 2.0 and above, and your good to go.

Absolutly! Use whatever intelligence and opportunities you may have to the fullest. ROTC will potentially give you access to financial aid and all sorts of opportunities.

Even if as some point you choose to enlist you will still be haeds up above others. If you decide later to finish school and try for OCS..... you are still way ahead.

Just do it and don't think twice if you want to be a soldier!

oh HECK yes, join the ROTC first.

They'll pay for your college AND you go into the service as an officer. Having been a grunt (combat infantry) officers are treated WAY better, in every way, and the pay's better too.

Absolutely. ROTC. Good luck.

Yes, even if you don't become an officer like the previous answer said the experience will help you.. you will also be able to enlist at a higher rank than you otherwise would have.

Yes! Even if you don't go in as an officer, the experience will help you in boot camp.

Good luck!

Only if you have desires to be an officer, other wise I would get in now.
