My Bf who is in BMT right now just found out he has something wrong with his back. They sent him to the hospital over there and they did an MRI and found that he has a bulging disc and I think something wrong with his vertebrae. Does anyone know roughly how long it takes for a medical entry level separation? They did say he would be going home but not how long it would take. He's waiting in the 319. Thanks in advance!

You see I believe that those who been there for longer at than 1 or 2 years should be able to return home. Theres no excuse for keeping our troops over there any longer than they need to be.

Is this true? Could it be that the estimated fire of over 1 million rounds for each Iraqui casualty have something to do with it? H
How can Iraquis be poor with all that brass alying around all they got to do is pick it up and sell it.
Hey, in the states we got people stealing railings and manhole covers along with electrical lines to make a living.
Whats good enough for us over here should be good enough for an Iraqui.

I've learned that my grandfather, an RCAF gunner, was stationed there and died in the Bahamas in 1943. I'll be vacationing in Nassau soon and would like to see where he was, if the base is still there or a memorial was erected or something. Does anybody have any information they could share?

I know that Bush said he would never force a draft as long as he was in office but I would still like to know some facts about it. Who is eligible? Who is excluded? Are previous military members taken first? How much time do you owe if you are drafted? Any helpful websites I can visit? Your input is greatly appreciated!

Let's look at this logically: if the US withdraws, it basically announces to the world that it will NOT fight terrorists in Iraq. Isn't that an open invitation to terrorists that Iraq is a safe zone?

Why we went in is not relevant at this point. Look at the situation NOW.

Why would terrorists not flock to a place where they KNOW the US does not want to face them down?

I got married, and 10 days later my husband who is in the Marine Corp left for Japan for three months. (Well, it's 3 months so far, but who knows with the way the military works ;) ) We found out that i am pregnant, so now I'm stuck here and all i can do is think about the time i'm missing out on with him. Do any other military spouses have any advice as far as tricks to pass the time?
