Hopefully not. The second Amendment should stand. A military man especially should support the right to bear arms.
The right to bear arms is the only last resort the citizens have against an oppressive government.
Take the weapons away and the citizens are sheep.
Note Hitler and Stalin both confiscated all the guns from their citizens, only soldiers and cops were allowed to have them.

Maybe you've never heard of that....it's the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution.

No. Gun companies and their lobbyists hold too much power in the govt.
I feel that people should be able to possess firearms for hunting and personal safety. Problem lies in what type of firearm they should be allowed to possess. Can't do much hunting with a pistol, but it is good for personal defense/home protection.
I think the US should make it illegal to make new handguns. Grandfather the people who already have them, but from now on only law enforcement should be allowed to get new ones.
Slowly as gun violence continues and criminals are caught, pistols will be removed from the streets. Gun violence WILL continue, but it is much harder to conceal a rifle or shotgun.
It would be a slow process, but it would be miles ahead of what we are doing today.

weapons are for takeing lifes not to bruise them every soldier has th rite to use deadly force and trust me it is needed somones running at you with a bomb ready to kill themself just to kill you you wanna fire a ****** beanbag at him??????? see the stupidity there I hope so
