Did your soldier give you an address to write to him? It might be that if he has gone overseas, it takes time for them to be able to contact you. Depending on his situation, where abouts and the time differece.. it could be any number of things. There is also the Family Readiness Support Group of your soldier. While my husband was deployed, I was able to keep in contact with the group and together we were able to help other wives and family members keep a sense of where and how our soldiers were doing. They are a hard working group of individuals that keep very busy for us. Most importantly, remember he is working, not on vacation and having a great time without you.

Didn't your soldier give you his address and tell you when or if he has Internet access?
No matter what some people think - not everyone in the military sits around in air conditioning playing games and watching movies. A lot of them work dang hard.

If you haven't heard from him - caulk it up to he is busy. The Army is a job and sometimes he can be on duty for days or longer. Also depending on where he is at , the time zones can mess you up. While you are sleeping he could be able to call but won't because of a strange sense of reasoning that your sleeping is more important than hearing his voice. Or that calling will just upset you or him.
Stay positive and write - it will help and getting your name yelled at mail call is important.
