Just a quick question. I was reading AR 612-201 paragraph 3-17, table 3-5, step 4 "..... Only students in training over 20 weeks may relocate family, HHgs, and POV."

I'm currently stationed in germany as a 68J and will be reclassing to 68k next year. I just want to make sure that when I pcs from germany I can take my family, HHG's, and POV with me to my training location. this is the impression I got from this regulation, and just wanted to verify the accuracy of my assumption. BTW the class is 52 weeks long.

Thru out the ages in real life there have been qualitative advantages of one countrys system over an another .

Examples would be German Panzer Tanks having a 5 to 1 kill ratio to over Shermans ranging to an F15 never having been shot down in actual combat .

I am writing a short story where 2 cultures use vastly different approaches to make military biological androids sort of like Blade Runner . One side has a definite qualtative edge in senses, speed , reaction speed ,durabilty and training .

Im am trying to come up with a hypothetical kill ratio for our good guy biological android that is above something like a panther tank in WW II but lower than an F15 eagle having never been defeated before . Our good guy alien biological android is made of flesh and blood and is effective at his designed role . I dont want to Rambo-ize him per se . So military and sci fi buffs would be a good kill ratio number that would be thrilling but wouldnt make him Topper Harley ?

So, a lot of American’s do not support the war in Iraq… that is a given. But do all American’s support our troops? We are out here doing what we are told to do, because we promised we would. The war on terrorism is just that, it is a war. We soldiers are not over here on vacation, we are fighting every day, we are away from our families for a year at a time, and the conditions suck! We loose lives all the time in fact I lost a good friend 2 weeks ago. Whether you believe it or not we are doing great things over here, and we are protecting The U.S.A. So, if you do not support the troops in Iraq… why not?!

Be mindful of the questions you're being asked. I see so many questions structured the way law enforcement would phrase them. Big brother is watching.

Do you think that the war is over ,or do you think that this is just the quiet before the storm and the enemy is saving their strength for the Americans when they come.
Maybe they are waiting to see how the Senate voted ,and they are planning on hitting everything at once ,once the troops do get deployed over there.
You know Bush is going to get his way anyway with Executive privledge and him being Commander in Chief.
Things are too quiet over in Iraq right now..I wonder what is going on.
Is this just the quiet before the storm?

From what I've seen in atom bomb test videos, the blast is huge, in it's base and in elevation. So when the plane goes to drop the bomb, how does it not get it as the blast goes up? And exactly how far away do the other airplanes that tape it have to be to avoid getting hit?

Take a look here and see what it is really like. You will be surprised, it is not at all what the mainstream media is saying.

Please compare these two cases and tell me whether you yourself would have preferred either of these two solutions to the one that actually happened, or whether either of them would have been better than what actually occurred. Please go into as much detail as possible without writing a term paper. When it's all in I will post my own thoughts. Thanks.

Army, Navy, Marines, or Air Force? which has the most job oppurtunities, good pay, and least likely to be killed in?

While I was serving in Iraq I lost both my parents in a car accident. A few weeks later I was injured in a IED explosion which almost crippled me. I spent the next 6 months in a hospital bed in Germany learning how to walk again. After I was medically discharged I returned home to empty house with no parents. I spent the following months trying to find a job, organize my parents finances, and deal with my physical disability. I still have nightmares from Iraq and sleep only 3 or 4 hours a night. Since I have no relatives or siblings I have been forced to deal with my situation alone. I've become distant from my friends and find myself suffering from depression. However, I take one day at a time, that's all I can ask. I want to get help with my depression, but the counseling offices at V.A. are overwhelmed and it will be months before my next appointment. I can't afford see someone on my own...what can I do? I don't usually like asking for help, but right now I'm at a loss.

Now, before my question gets totally railroaded and I get bombarded with insults, please consider the question.

If you look at history, the Army has always been a MUCH larger force than the Marines, in fact, several hundreds of times larger. Also, the Marines did not play any major roles in combat until World War 1, but since, have grown tremendously in size and capability, to the point where the Corps is now half the size of the Army. Also, the popular opinion in today's youth is that the Marine Corps is "cooler" and tougher, and everyone wants to be a Marine. Does anyone else think the Army will get replaced in the future?

I have received a scholarship to return to school and attend AFROTC. I'm interested in the classes that I'll attend, your role in ROTC, and some of the ROTC events/functions/training. I'm particularly interested in field training and how that compares to basic training at Lackland. Currently, I'm enlisted and have been on active duty 3 years. Thanks to any and all for their answers!
