Take a look here and see what it is really like. You will be surprised, it is not at all what the mainstream media is saying.

1776-2007...Are you serious. Where are you from, if you live in the US then it is a shame that these soldiers are risking their lives to give you the freedoms that you enjoy. If you don't live in the US, then good, we don't want you here and we don't need your respect. You are the worse kind of coward.

James M....Thank you so much for sacrificing for our freedoms. My prayers are with you. Take care of yourself.

It sucks to be honest. You are in this country where you cant even describe the heat, the people that cheer you one day may be the ones to take a shot at your truck the next day and everyone is a possible enemy. We do good things in Iraq, rebuilding the hospitals and homes and people are generally friendly, but apparently thats not newsworthy. I am an MP, we do mostly convoy escorts, but news teams never go with us, apparently its too risky for them, they like to stay in the back and use long range shots. I never wanted to go to iraq, but did because its my duty. I go for my family, my friends and most importantly, for my fellow soldiers. I watch their back, and they watch mine.

Oh, I'll admit, I'm a couple steps away from knowing what it's really like over there, though I'd like to think that I have a better idea of the shape of things than most. But, that's only because I write to soldiers in Iraq, and find out what they do, and what they think of things there.

I would like to see the media celebrate as many sucesses of our military as failures. That'd be :"fair and balanced" don't you think?

The same as being a German soldier in 1938 Poland. Except you kill Muslims.
If you serve "W" you do not have my respect any more than Hitler's troops would.

I am willing to bet that it is pretty fun.

They get to go on long walks. They get to carry guns in public. People send them cigarettes and stuff.
