Just a quick question. I was reading AR 612-201 paragraph 3-17, table 3-5, step 4 "..... Only students in training over 20 weeks may relocate family, HHgs, and POV."

I'm currently stationed in germany as a 68J and will be reclassing to 68k next year. I just want to make sure that when I pcs from germany I can take my family, HHG's, and POV with me to my training location. this is the impression I got from this regulation, and just wanted to verify the accuracy of my assumption. BTW the class is 52 weeks long.

What rank are you? Alot depends on rank. E/4 and below then most likely no. E/5 and above then yes. Does not make sense when it comes to family. Military has the highest divorce rate out of everything considering what it does to familys.Mostly comes down to what your chain of command decides.

The regulation is regulation. And 52 weeks is really long. I am almost for sure that you can. Especially since it is TDY enroute to your next duty station. Good Luck and God Speed!

yes. It will be treated as a PCS move and as such you are authorized to bring family members.
