Do you think that the war is over ,or do you think that this is just the quiet before the storm and the enemy is saving their strength for the Americans when they come.
Maybe they are waiting to see how the Senate voted ,and they are planning on hitting everything at once ,once the troops do get deployed over there.
You know Bush is going to get his way anyway with Executive privledge and him being Commander in Chief.
Things are too quiet over in Iraq right now..I wonder what is going on.
Is this just the quiet before the storm?

Maybe there is talk of defections going on with the enemy ,ever since that one Big Shot went back to Iran to hide .
So a lot of the fighters are probably defecting because of that I think.

I really hope no one is naive enough to think that 2 days of quiet means we're done with the war. It would be nice, but I find it more probable that they're scheming than giving up.

Thousands of insurgents are keeping low profile in view of the new US-Iraq military operation to secure the capital. In classic guerilla tactics, they have emerged with civilians, leaders hiding consulting in Iran and evaporated. They have got all the time in the world to wait; the US don't.

This is the lull before the storm... but what IS the storm? Personally the real storm is when US troops are withdrawn from Iraq. Leaving a US-trained Iraqi military - BIGGEST JOKE of all. Iraq as a nation will be no more because the next US President gets to power riding on US anti-war sentiments.

The war will not be over for a very long time. They pay attention to our government, and know there is currently work underway for a troop buildup. The offensive hasnt strarted full strength because not all those 21,000 troops are there yet. But they are laying low. They will lay low until we withdraw those 21,000 troops and then they will go back to their same old tactics. If anyone IS defecting (as you say), there will be hundreds more to fill their place. And I am sure they are working on tactics and building bombs during this time.

I watch a new satellite TV channel shows soldiers while they are shot down and bombs in the roads and many loss in lives of the American soldiers everyday and non stop.
I can imagine that brain washing media is only in the 3rd world countries, but never imagined it happened in USA. Sorry my friends who can't understand yet what's going on. Wake up guys you are bleeding there and some people in the white house are numbing you not to feel.
It's true you are losing everyday more than the other tell you will be away. Later you will feel the loss on other sides economically, socially and you will hear the stories of the coming back soldiers.

To answer your question, no, the war is not over.
Iraq is this generation's Viet Nam. Period. We're losing every day, and we will continue to lose until we leave.
As far as Iran is concerned, Bush and all his advisers need psychological help. They are running this country straight to hell without a care of what future generations will be left to clean up.
All the while making millions on the side.

Bring them home, bring them all home. Even then it won't be over.
