Recovering Vetrans at Walter Reed have now been prohibited from speaking about grim conditions to reporters after Secretary of Defence praised the work of Washington Post reporter Dana Priest who exposed the bad conditions. "Nicky" is doing a "heck of a job" too!

Do You agree ? If no then give some reasons please.
Also some people say that America was already in world war II before its formal entrance after pearl harbour attack by putting embargo on oil for Japan and helping UK by providing weapon and finances ? I met japanese guy in train last month who became good friend of mine he said to me during a discussion that all the history is influenced by Americans and Britishers especially the stuff present in English language so u won't find the right answers by looking in internet and asking English speaking people. i wonder what the truth is?

First of sorry about my spelling...

To some people war is one way that some people feel that they can help their country. War makes people stronger. War teaches people some things. War created first person shooters. Religeon started some wars. When people belive they failed their buisness life they go and join the miltary so they have something to do in life. Some people who feel depresed go to war and understand if they die they died doing something they feel right. War makes some people smarter. War created weapons that later on were used in science. So... Is war really that bad?

I would like to know only an ESTIMATED amount of time. I am trying to rent a car and book a hotel but I can't really do so without having a GENERAL idea of when he could be home. If everything goes smoothly, how long could it take? How long did it take any of you? His destination is TEXAS, coming from IRAQ.

And I know that it varies, which is why I am asking for an estimated time, not exact. Thanks!

It would rock so much. It just would be awesome. Yes I am a geek, not a nerd, but a geek. There is a difference. Geeks know what they are doing when programming or something. nerds are just wanna be's.

This is his 2nd time in Iraq and I was about to send him the same things that I sent him the first time but he said not to. He bought a lot of bootleg movies so he is good on movies. I asked him about food and he said his room is close to the shoppette so he can go get food whenever he wants. So other than pictures what can I send my husband?

I just joined the Army National Guard and I was wondering just what kind of political statements and/or actions I can make. I've always been politically active by getting involved as a volunteer in local campaigns. Can I have political bumper-stickers on my car or lawn-signs during elections? Can I still volunteer for candidates' campaigns, or visit my local representatives while in uniform? Thanks!

It seems like anytime anyone says they disagree with the mission in the Middle East that they are said to be un-american or anti-military. I personally have great admiration and respect for the people in the military. They have a lot of courage and do their missions with honor. I just don't agree with most of the missions they have been sent on in the last 6 years. Does that makes me a liberal, anti-america, pro-terror, Al Gore-kissing hippie ?

i woke up in a half-sleep state screaming and hollering around the squad bay, my body was aching, lol. this is all true people, this is not sea stories thats the way it was done in the old Corps. another recruit was blanket partied, he ran to the drill instructors duty hut, banged on the door, the DI opened the door, laughed in the recruit's face, and slammed the door shut. the DI should have came to the recruit's aid. i believe mentoring would be a better approach to traing our fighting men rather than stern discipline. i think the marine corps should lighten up a bit, who agrees with me?
