Those aren't the first servicemen to die, I hate to tell you. And, seriously, as a former serviceman who watched one of his own die, it isn't healthy for all of this dwelling upon our deaths. We should pay our respects, once a year, and pray for the necessary things to happen, which will end any needless bloodletting. On the same token, however, we did all take the same oath, and will do our part to uphold and defend. It's a sacrifice we are willing to make.
My advice? Write a nice email stating your oposition to her overriding your particular pet news project to the producers and editors of your local news source. Some folks I know are pissed because soldiers and Anna Nicole are drowning out the Immigration issue. Or even the North Korea talks. It's all just dirty laundry.

This is type of thing that news people grab and run with. No, she was not worth more than a US service person, but this is what sells and thats a fact. She will be in the ground in a couple of days and the news people will get back to Iraq.

Sadly, most Americans are facinated with celebrities and their trivial lives. A lot of people vote based on celebrities views, buy clothing, eat food, choose products, blah, blah. These type of people are easily lead by the nose! A marine, soldier, airman, and sailor are by far more valuable a life to me. They protect my families freedom!
God Bless them all.

Because the sad facts are sensationalism is what news agencies have found sells. She got big boobs and her life was a train wreck. To most of the tv addicted population she is news.

Sorry to say:
The News Media, except for Fox, wants us to lose in Iraq. They don't like the military.
But they love people like Smith.

Really, she was just a stripper, who landed an old sugar Daddy, married the old fart, thought she was Marlyn Monroe, Stayed stoned, blowed up like a pig, humped anything that would have her. What a success story, I say bury the bimbo, and on to something else.

Hell no. She isn't worth spit compared to our soldiers.
A very astute man once said "Superior minds are concerned with ideas, average minds with events, and inferior minds with personalities." --Col. Jeff Cooper And he was correct 100%.

Because they don't like to think of negative things like death and war......... ~_~ ........ because the death of a chick that overdoses ( who happens to have a child whose father is unknown) is more interesting then the deaths of men and women who die for their country and leave behind their children and significant others ..... ~_~ sad but true ..... entertainment over serious events ....
