I am approximately two years away from finishing my college degree, I have one semester left followed by a full year and an additional semester, putting me one semester behind graduating in four years! It will also add another 40,000 dollars to the amount someone will one day paying back to Sallie Mae!!! I have really wanted to join the air force to serve my country, learn a skill, meet new people and travel before I settle down in my civilian lifestyle and hopefully start a family! My question is how hard is it to finish your degree while in the Air Force and how long will it take? Or is it perhaps better to join after graduating(I don't want to be an officer) and serve my country travel work in something that supports the mission of the air force, and use tuition assistance and my GI bill to get my MBA while enlisted? I mostly want to know how long it takes to finish your degree, and from the outside looking in which is most beneficial?

Basically, why do terrorists hate the united States, if we left the source of insurgency, wouldn't 9/11 happen again? A lot of people claim that pulling our troops out of Iraq, would be awesome, but then what do our troops do? Do they just sit on their butts? I mean aren't soldiers created to fight? Basically, wouldn't it be better if American soldiers keep suicide bombers at bay out in a desert surrounded area, than a full industrial infrastructure, like New York City, ex. 9/11? So if our troops come home, do they instead sit around tall skyscrapers with machine guns in their hands waiting for suicide bombers to come out of a taxi pulling right up? I mean you have to think about it, "DID 9/11 HAPPEN BEFORE OR AFTER THE IRAQ INVASION?" People also claim that there loved ones have been over in Iraq for years, they been over there to long. But have people forgotten that wars can lost a very long time. For ex. the Hundred Years War. Wars do not have a determined end date. Right? Right?

Senate Report Confirms: Iraq War Based on Lies: Military Families Demand an Immediate End to the War and Ask: How Can You Ask a Soldier to be the Last to Die for a Lie?

WASHINGTON - Feb 26 - While the Senate continues to debate the issue of blame for the false information that was used to justify the war in Iraq, the fact remains that the two primary justifications -- Iraqi weapons of mass destruction and a link between Al Qaida and Iraq -- have been shown by the Senate report to be without merit.

To date, 3,150 U.S. troops; 40,000 thousand Iraqi men, women and children have been killed as a result of the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in March, 2003.

Military Families Speak Out is an organization of over 1,500 military families with loved ones who have been killed in Iraq, who are serving in Iraq, who have been wounded physically and/or psychologically by the war in Iraq, and they are telling the world the USA / Bush is wrong about the war.

Amazing how these people work. Then say that they are worthy of our votes. John Murtha should have been exposed 25 yrs ago when this happened. Then maybe the democrats or anyone else for that matter wouldn't have voted for him all these years that this video washidden from public view. I refuse to listen to his plans on Iraq after seeing that he is totally influenced bybribes and favors. What do you think?

My question is how do YOU feel about all these soldiers returning to America with sever disabilities, no legs, missing an arm, brain damage? The article in Newsweek says because of improved body armor, helmets and advanced medical care 16 soldiers get sick or wounded for every soldier dies, compared to WW11 when the ratio was nearly 2-1 and in Vietnam and Korea about 3 wounded for every one that died. For 100% disability with no kids they MAY quailfy for $2500.00 per month and many wait for months or even 2 years for benifits. According to these articles and TV specials, our wounded are not getting the care they need. I'm interested in what you, the public, thinks.

I've been in the Army reserve for 6 years now and I hoped to complete my last two years in the IRR but my unit refuse to put me in the IRR. I got upset and refused to drill anymore. My contract, that I signed said I could do my last two years in the IRR. I understand that the world has changed since I signed my contract, but is there a way to complete my last two years without drilling. I heard that if I complete enough correspondence courses online to get 50 retirement points per year, I will have a good year. Can this method be used to satisfy my last two years of requirement?

Now I know he may be considered a hero to some of you confused people, but for the record Ehren Watada is a coward and a deserter. I sincerely hope he is charged with every possible violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

I refuse to give him the honor of addressing him as Lieutenant. He no longer deserves that title or prestige. How can you turn your back on the men you lead, especially as an officer.

As a veteran U.S. Marine that served in Iraq twice in the Infantry, we all have our own personal feelings in regards what is going on in this war, but REGARDLESS of those feelings they do not supersede your orders, obligation, and oath of loyalty you swore in carrying out the orders of your superiors and defending this nation against all enemies foreign and domestic.

You do not get to choose the mission, the mission chooses you. If every service member got to question the political correctness of an order, you would then have an unprofessional and undisciplined force.

It was useful rhetoric - but King George never told us what "the course" was. Now he uses emotion-laden terms like "victory" and oh yes, we must not "lose" or be "defeated", but he does not take the time to tell is what these words mean to him.

A gambler who loses a lot will sometimes gamble even more, in the vain hope that if he bets ever more and more of his resources surely he must win. Wiser players know that there comes a time to cut your losses and get out. Rats will run a maze but eventually figure out NO CHEESE.

Getting out with as few additional casualties as can be achieved makes sense now. Going in was a mistake. Is Bush too vain to admit that he erred? Does he think that wasting more lives and dollars now is going to prove how very "right" he was?

Lyndon Johnson blew his career by unreasonably persisting in his doomed war. Is Bush so dumb that he will make the same mistake?

What does Bush imagine we have to gain by expending ever more of our wealth and lives
