Since everything we accused Saddam of, Kim Jong had been doing since 94. And lo and behold now he has nukes.

Not to mention the fact that we're still technically at war with his country and have been for the last 57 years. And Kim basically assumes Japan is the same way.

There was a military maneuver in the American Civil War, in which a group of Americans were trapped in an east coast city(the british on their west flank and the british navy on their east, at sea). A general assigned to General Washington took a number of troops south and engaged th british. The british faught back and the americans retreated west, then they stopped faught awhile and then retreated further west, and did the same tactics each time retreating west, pulling the british further away from the east coast city where the americans were trapped, allowing them eventually to break free.

Was there a name for this battle and can you give tell me where I can get information on it? Thanks.

humanity didn't care during all wars until after WW2...has human nature really changed from thousands of years of killing innocent civilians...it seems this thought only hinders victory for any nation at war...

Iran has drawn American "first blood" they are aiding and abetting the pro-Iranian militants in Iraq with the expertise and the sophisticated materials to kill young Americans and destroy millions of dollars in American military equipment, is this an act of war? Do we protect our solders from this growing regional threat? Does the U.S. simply slap this government of Islamic fanatics on the wrist or go all out this time and make sure they cannot rebuild their military for another hundred years or so? Let's face reality here, if we let the Iranians continue with their present day policies they'll control the middle east within 10 years and by then the U.S.A. won't be able to stop that run away train.

This is what it is. Whe have to pick a topic and then debate on it and one person has to be for it and another has to be aginst it and we have to say why we are for it or aginst it and we have to have info from three different web sites.

Most people I knew in the military.....and I've know quite a few......were raised in Republican households. I was raised and am still Republican even was while I was in the military. It's a false statement to say that more democrats send their kids off to war. In the past that had been the case.....say over 30 years ago, but since then things have changed.....obviously not the statistics!
A few friends of mine have lost their kids in Iraq in the past few years. Also have lost some very good Army buddies too. ALL of the soldiers, parents, spouses, children, were all Republican.
Instead of deciding its a Democrat/Republican discrepancy, instead look at it was a problem of finding jobs! Places where there are not many entry-level jobs, seem to be the same places where there are more military enlistments. So are impoverished areas. Now whether these people are Dem/Rep/Ind/Green, should not come in to play, because I KNOW in the military it has absolutely NO bearing on ANYTHing!

Why don't people realize Iran will be the site of the next war. Iran supports insurgents in Iraq killing our troops and we have evidence Iranian terrorists are targeting targets in NYC and they are hard at work making nukes. We should invade before some defeatocrat softy gets elected.

I mean, they're going off to some foreign land where there's a war and there's no guarentee they may come back alive. And what if the 18 year old who goes off to war is still a virgin? I'm sure this has never really been asked, but I've been wondering about this for a little while now.

Several decades ago the US Defence Department was called the Department of War. Should Democrats try to bring back the old name? The reason for this question is that the current name is misleading. Nowdays the Defence Department is mostly involved in attacking or occupying other countries, not in defending US. There is no country on earth capable of attacking the US.
