Because by invading N. Korea we do not solve anything beyond N. Korea.
The Invasion of Iraq is intended to force reform throughout the entire Middle East. This is why so many countries oppose us - democracy in the Middle East would remove the rulers of Iran, Syria, etc. And even worse it would upset the cozy (and corrupt) financial arraignments that the Europeans have with those nations.

Middle East has strategic importance to the US, North Korea has no importance, its as simple as that. Saddam Hussein would not even rate on a list of top 10 dictators in the word, right now.

Very simple. If we attack Korea, China will send their big army and it could start something big. It's as simple as that. China also has a permanent seat on the UN Security Council, so that's why it would've been hard to get international concensus on the issue.
But don't worry if North Korea tries anything against South Korea or Japan, America will back them up.

Because N Korea has a formidable miltary that would be extremely difficult and costly to defeat, and who's to say that the Chinese don't get involved again. Attack N Korea and you probably end up with about 20 times the number of American deaths that you have in Iraq.

WMD replace into the pretext, the reason we went in, IMO, replace into the neocon fantasy that by skill of becoming a democratic state in Iraq they might create a democratic "domino result" interior the midsection East and characteristic secular democracies pop up everywhere in the area, becoming a paradise on earth. It looked as though it might me glaring whilst the conflict began that once you are going to invade a Muslim u . s . a ., you attempt to counter the "crusader" image you create by skill of exhibiting extra comprehend-how in the direction of between the subject concerns the place they maximum experience a feeling of injustice and oppression - the Israeli / Palestinian conflict. particularly, Bush in basic terms rejected the belief of negotiating with Arafat and international kin went nowhere till his death. It took me the longest time to realize that the neocons observed Iraq as the thank you to dodge the will of doing the not basic artwork of negotiating a peace. in basic terms replace Saddam with a democracy and presto, New international Order II arrives and all our issues are solved. As for NK, i'm incredibly effective human beings will do lots to dodge taking the blame for paying for Seoul shelled into oblivion.

North Korea has no oil! They are trying to obtain the same oil that we are trying to get our hands on!
We never had a war with N. Korea, we had a Police Action. No war was ever declared.
Believe it or not, we expect China to keep a tight rope on N. Korea, he can only go so far as they will allow. China is not ready to let him go too far, yet.
