A family member has been telling us that he fought in Vietnam. I don't believe him. How can I search for a list of service man to served between 1970 and 1971.

If he's a family member, why don't you ask other family members...grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles and so on? Although I've never heard of someone just serving 1 year without getting severely injured or being bad.

contact the DoD, it may not be public info yet, but it very well may be. If it's not, look though the databases of awards and decorations. odds are they got something, an infantry service medal, a purple heart, a unit award, something.

why do you not believe them anyway? A lot of people served there.
