Josef Vissarionovich Stalin.

Compared to Stalin, Hitler was a little schoolgirl waiting to get spanked. Estimates of the deaths under Stalins rule go anywhere from 20 and even up to 50 million. His rule was absolute. Nobody close to him ever remained alive for long. He ordered most of his family killed in his black lists during the Great Terror of the 1930s, most of the rest were placed in the infamous Siberian gulags. Nobody was ever allowed to know too much about him. Stalin was paranoid, egomaniacal, and prone to very violent tempers. Some speculated he was schizophrenic though that was never be proven. Death squads killed millions, the gulags millions more, the MVD (later known as the NVD, the NKVD, RVD, RSVD, and more famously the KGB) killed countless more that will never be known. It is estimated that Russias population would have far exceeded that of the United States by the early 90s had it not been for Stalin and his reign of terror.

**Interesting note...in the 50s and 60s in the months leading to the unveiling of the so-called Doctors Plot was actually a prelud to a nazi-style concentration camp system meant to rid theSoviet Union, and indeed the world, from Jewry...as Stalin believed it was the destiny of the Soviet Union to dominate the entire world. The Jews were the most convenient targets, and for him the most threatening ones (hasnt this kill the Jews theme gotten a bit old by now?)

1. Stalin- Killed 25 million of his own people and for retarded reasons like when his military designers didn't make a good enough weapon they were shot. Also plunged Russia in to darkness created country with a rich government and poor people.

2. Pol Pot- Killed and tortured countless Cambodians. In S21 prison.
people tortured and forced to eat spoon fulls of ****.

3.Hitler- Killed 6 million Jews in horrible ways like gassing, cremating, and pumping 'em full of lead.

4. Mao- Killed many people and turned the democratic Chinese government communist.

5. Saddam- killed and tortured many Iraqis.
Gassed Kurds
Gassed Iranians(who cares)

Hitler first and foremost, because he seduced an entire nation and convinced them to give up their humanity, their compassion, and their conscience. He took the German people and convinced them that they had been mistreated at the end of WW1, but he ended up leaving Germany far more devastated than anything the Allies had wrought during World War 1.

There would be a two way tie for second between Pol Pot and Stalin. Both cultivated their cult of personality and let their people suffer for their own ends.

It is fashionable right now to hate Saddam, but let's not forget that he was our buddy during the Iran-Iraq War. Yes, he was a piece of s**t dictator who killed his own people and used chemical weapons, but he was never the same type of threat that Hitler was. Saddam wanted to wipe out Israel, but never had the means. Hitler not only wanted to wipe out the Jews, but tried.

recently? probably hitler and stalin. yeah saddam was bad but he wasnt in their league.if you really want to go back though, the rulers of ancient egypt enslaved and killed allot of people mainly the jews, if you think about it though all leaders before modern times were awful but that is just the world they were in......a thousand years from now i would bet people would say our leaders were ruthless for allowing people to be homeless and for having the death penalty. hope i helped you a bit.

Hitler. 6 million jews toutchord to death under his orders. 64 million died from a war of "pureafascation" that he installed.

If hitler was not able, the cold war would never have happend, the Soviets would never have the militery power they did that rivaled the US until 1991. Stallin would have been overthrown due to unreast in the militery.

Saddam was evil, but not as evil as Hitler.

JAN's got the only answer that makes sense of the ones I could read as I came to answer your question. With those you list to choose from, you give an almost impossible chore in asking us to choose the worst. I'll leave that to God, but I think even He may not waste time trying to measure the difference, if He doesn't already know, which I'm sure He does. And remember, all we know about them is what the media wants us to think or believe about them, so . . .. God Bless you.

Hitler had the biggest death count. Stalin was brutal, Saddam was a murderer. I would have to say Hitler, he had more killed out of pure hate
