It would rock so much. It just would be awesome. Yes I am a geek, not a nerd, but a geek. There is a difference. Geeks know what they are doing when programming or something. nerds are just wanna be's.

When mankind takes to space travel for the masses, and other planets are colonized, it is only logical that eventually war will start to take place there. I love Star Wars too, but it will still be war, and it will not be 'awesome'. Real war is never awesome.

Assuming you get the right people in control of the military, the right technology to make officers unquestionably subservient, and an extremely charismatic commander-in-chief who will do anything to maintain his power (ahem, FDR)... Yes, another Palpatine and a clone army seems entirely possible to me, but not quite so thrilling as you seem to think. You'll notice, a lot of what Palpatine actually did to the government did not actually involve his use of the Force, just his own talents; you don't have to be a Sith Lord to be power-hungry.

It is possable, it is a real shame that the 80s Star Wars military prgram was cancled. They were working on some cool stuff

No, that would involve with other intelligent life forms that are exactly like humans.

Also, the kind of spaceships that Star Wars depicts are impossible to fly with energy sources that we have.
