US and USSR (that time) had about to begin the bull fight & US was almost ready with the "star war program". Ronald Regan & Garbachov had tactfully handled the matter & salvaged the situation.

China has destroyed its own satellite by missile. The Skeleton kept in the cupboard has come out once again. US has just had the test of Laser Beam, fired from the ground, which is aimed to destroy any satallite in any orbit.

It is not mandatory to explore the moon which has already been explored several times. Isro should help in defense. Our leaders should motivate Isro to apply space techniques for War. If we don't develop it, we are not safe with the range of missiles we have.

I believe, Dr. Kalam has understood the requirement after Chinese test. Dr. Kalam can assign a "secret development project" to Isro. India should never trust Chinese Dragon.

What will have to happen before you can say the war on terror has been "won"? What is the objective in your opinion?

Who's willing and able to write to their US Senators to help STOP this war? Who's willing to start an email to send around the world to help stop this war? Any US soldiers want to join in? Please do. It's not that we don't support your efforts, but we'd rather you be safe back at home here in the US and help protect our borders. Thanks much.

In the 90's the US military did a war game on just what it would take to secure and subdue Iraq. They came to the conclusion that it would take 400,000 troops 4 to 5 years to achieve the objectives of setting up a democracy in iraq and that then it may not work. They predicted nearly 100% the things that have happened over the past 5 years. It is public record that vet benifits have been cut and that troops are getting poor equipment and not enough of it.
So I ask you who is it that is really not supporting our troops?
I am very proud of our troops and have done much to show it but I do not think given what we know they need and given what they are being supplied with they're mission can be successful therefore why throw teir lives away over an incompetent commander and chief that has armchair quartedbacked his generals since day one?

They are doing their job to defend you every day! 10-15-20+ hours per day. In the heat, the rain, the snow. Busting their butts to protect you! All this negativity does NO good for them! SUPPORT THEM OR MOVE!

I don't mean to sound dim, but I don't understand the term friendly fire. If it was friendly, then why would they be shooting in the first place. What does it actually mean?

My husband came home from Iraq in December. In about a week, he's leaving for a month for leadership school. About a week ago, he came home saying he talked to a Special Forces recruiter about joining up. So after leadership school he'll be back for 3 weeks before he leaves again for another 30 days for assessment. Then 12-18 months for school if he passes. He wants me to leave for NC when he goes for school even though he says he won't see me at all during his schooling. Do you think I'm being selfish wanting to stay back until after he finishes? My son is autistic and I have family here to help while I'm at work and school. Whereas, I don't have the type of support group there. I understand he's wanting to go further his career. But I don't know if I want to leave when I don't know anybody. Plus I feel weird living in a home which my husband will be gone with just me and my son...... Am I selfish and unreasonable like he thinks I am?

I’m French and as 95% of French I always opposed the war.
Anyway, Watada is wrong:
-He is an officer and has to obey. In France he would risk much more than 4 years behind bars. 20 years ago he would have faced the fire squad, I don’t know for sure now.
-Now that US have invaded Iraq, it is their duty to cope with the insurgency they have generated and leave Iraq only when it will be peaceful. US should never have entered Iraq but they shouldn’t live it before wrong. Leaving Iraq would be cowardice.

I would like to know what exactly life is all about, in A-School. From what I have understood, they will teach the trades now that boot camp has been completed. I'd like to know how the Navy decides on which sailor has to study which field. Is it upto him,or the Navy chooses? And how long can this take? A month? Maybe more? How much free time do they get? What liberties do they get to enjoy? How often are they allowed access to E-Mail? What happens to sailors around 18yrs of age? What about their dreams of undergraduation? Can they still choose to study in a University of their choice? Will the sailors get leave, say around a month, atleast after A-School? Will they get deployed? How far? Even places like Iraq??? What will happen to the boys' education if they end up getting posted on duty??? What else do you know? Can you tell me A-Z about "A" School???

Those who do not know, or have not been with the Navy or are not presently with the Navy - pls do not answer.

Thank you all ..

From what I know, after your second year of your commitment in the Navy, you can partake in a Tuition Assistance program where you can attend local college courses or online courses and receive up to 12 credits a year (if you pass the course), and the money for that is NOT taken out of your GI Bill.

I was wondering if the Army had a similar program set up for its soldiers?
