Do you think the biggest threat to world peace is from terrorism or conventional warfare. Give reasons why you choose your answer.

I think conventional wars because of China, North Korea and Iran. There more of a threat than a few turban bashers.

I've always grown up to believe that America is the best country in the world, that the military is sent out the save people from other countries. How do you explain the fact that they take advantage of their resources and women? I'm sorry but I've known people who are casualties of American military serving for a long time in other countries. When they get an "itch" trust me, their wives and families in the US doesn't know what they do there. How many of their familes in the US actually know they have half-brothers or half-sisters in another country? These soldiers come home like nothing every happened but those who end up having psychological problems are that one they know did something wrong and their conscience is finally catching up with them. Do you have family in the military? Why don't you ask them what really happens? Who do you think started whore-houses in some countries?

I do not agree with what terrorist do, but I do understand why.....

Lets say you as a nationalist of your country saw it get invaded.... your army wiped out, and your goverment (that you loved, and agreed with) was removed and imprisoned.

The new goverment is placed, and it puts a group that you dont like in power, and they try and make things benefit them.

You see fellow country men go along and embrace this goverment.

Wouldn't you think that the enemy has taken your country, placed a goverment that would get along with them, and wouldn't you see your fellow ex-country men as traitors.

Wouldn't you despise them.

Wouldn't you try and fight back any way you could, any way possible.

You know that fighting the enemy head on would be certain death, cause if you caused enough damage they would just call in an air-strike and kill you.

So you strike from the corners of streets and meld into the shadows after causing enough damage, so that you can hit strike again and cause more damage

Many of us cheered when Saddam Hassien was overthrown and captured later on. Thousands cheered when his statue was toppled in Bagdad.

We cheered when our fathers and brothers sisters and mothers, U.S. soilders one and all helped to birth this new found government. With the help of millions of Iraqi's why are we so quick to "fund and run?".

No one would leave a new born baby and abandon it to the elements or to enemies to destroy it. Why should we surrender protecting this new born country of freedom to the elements that want to enslave it again?

I have read here how the muslims or Iraq hate us and like to see us come home in defeat. That Bush is in it for the oil and he might be. But what about the troops? Their not? They are there because they think they are protecting women and children from Muslims extremists for hurting and killing them. They are not going to make money off the war. Chances are they are going to die. Is that sacrifice appreciated by Islamic religion?
Never heard that said on here. Never one muslim said, your friend didn't die in vain. He died protecting a school.
He had balls sent over to give to the kids. Showed them how to play ball. I felt our sacrifices were appreciated. That is a joke.
We are hated by both sides and for what. When they die does anyone appreciate what they have done. NO!
I just sent two more friends back to the gulf to fight the insurgents to make Iraq safe for the people who live there. That was their black hearted motive. Liver lips really messed me up with his qu

Actually, I think that the whole plan is to keep the troops there until after the Presidential election. The course that the President takes, will depend on who the incumbant is.

Think of those peace loving Japanese soldiers coming into China and the evil Chinese shooting at them. Why didn't they just sit down and talk to the invaders. They could have held hands and sung kumbya.

I come from a military background. I am used to figures of my family being overseas and elsewhere. I love families that are apart and still have the desire to want to be together. Military life can be very rewarding. Jim is going to be a Navy Seal. He tells me that he thinks that I deserve a man that is going to be around for things. BUT, the way I see it is this... I love him, and I want to do this, no matter what the circumstance. I am one of those women that can handle this kind of pressure and it excites me. I am very proud of him and want him to succeed. But, I also need to know what I need to do to assure him down the road that I will not cheat and that I will forever be supportive of his decisions? Do I insist? Do I lay off for a while and keep in touch and then gradually show MORE interest. He already knows how I feel and he said that he's willing to go against the odds for me... but he thinks that I will not like it. What do I do? I am going to do this, how do i?
