I am a perfectly healthy 22 year old except for the fact that I have a condition in my knee. Its caused by an enlarged patella (a part of the knee bone) which causes a tendon in my knee to partially tear constantly. It becomes extremely swollen and painful and reduces my range of motion during long periods of exercise. I can pretty much deal with the pain, but I heard this can keep people out the the service.

Again we have proof that the Americans are putting lethal weapons in the hands of inexperienced servicemen with the all too predictable results.
When will this nation realise the value of non Americn human life?

what is it like in the Air Force do you actually like it or do you wish that you would of went to another branch of the army? Do you get to travel and get to stay in other countries? Do you stay on a ship or anything like that like you do in the Navy? See I really dont know which one to go to the Marines or the Air Force, Do you think that you will get the same respect as if you went to the Marines or do you get more respect going to the Air Force? I heard about a special forces program in the Air Force is it the same as the marine? Is it even realistic that i can even join that part or do you have to be extremely smart and have to be the fastest and strongest?

Ok me and my boyfriend spend a good amount of time together and he is stationed at Great Lakes Naval Base. He is a navy corpsman HM3 and he works at the clinic up there.

We hardly ever talk about the military because we basically went through the samething. I was army and in Iraq, he was and still is navy and was in Iraq. We don't like to talk about it. Well I just wanted to know what company or unit number he would be? I know his LPO is Moore but thats about it. We stay out of each others military life and concentrate on our lives together. Any ideas on his company or unit numbers?

Let them earn the room and board and 3 meals a day. Get them on a jet and when they arrive, give them all guns and tell them to go have fun. That would save the military some money. It would also help the over crowding in our prisons. Don't get me wrong, I am very grateful for anyone son or daughter who is fighting for this country. My nephew fought there and I had a good friend who lost her oldest son there in november. ..But enough is enough!!!

Bush has said several times the occupation isn't forever. So, and I base this on an earlier question, when would you end the occupation? Do you have a benchmark or trigger? Why that particular metric?

My fiance recently won North Carolina's Non Commissioned Officer of the Quarter. He is a staff seargent in the Air Force. Does anyone know anything about the process of how the recipients are chosen? All they told us was that it was a "lengthy process" but does anyone know anymore specific details?

If it is to stay until Iraq can keep the peace on it's own, it will never happen. No matter when we leave Shiites will take over. If it is use it for a launching pad for attacking Iran, Why can' they be honest with us and tell us what the intensions are? I personally think an Iran war should be all air power but then, I thought Iraq should have been too.

A rough figure will do, taking into account terrorist bombs Hzballah rockets and "collateral damage", e.g. in recent war on Lebanon. I make it about 1000 to one but that seems excessive

The whole IRAQ issue created when ISRAEL "PROVED" beyond doubt IRAQ had WMD.
ISRAEL circulated "DOCUMENTS" showing IRAQ's purchase of "yellow Cake"...
Now Most Americans ( non-jewsih americans) have first hand proof of the BID ISRAELI lie.
The question now : DO ALL JEWS still believe that we must be in IRAQ still after these big ISRAELI lies?

My husband is looking at taking a job at Fort Benning. Is this a nice base to live on or no? Has anyone ever lived in the housing there? We have two small kids and are also wondering about schools around there and things to do. Thanks.

Iran is threatening (if not already aiding) to help push the US out of Iraq. They are also illegally persuing nuclear bombs. The Chinese are backing Iran. They have more man power than anyone, and recently proved they can wipe out our comminication systems, and more.
Saddam Hussein was a madman, not unlike Hilter, and we were right to take his power away, the instability in the middle east is nothing new, and certainly cannot be blamed on Bush (or even Clinton.)
We must stand united against the evil of the world. That is what America must do. Can't people see that?

Regardless of your views about the war, you have to admit this guy is a liar and a coward.

He joined the Army in 2003 (so the war didn't come as a surprise--he could have resigned anytime during the last four years), has been happily accepting company grade officer pay, benefits and entitlements for four years, and now the coward refuses to deploy with his unit.

This loser took an oath. Raised his right hand and said: "I Ehren Watada...do accept such appointment and do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter, so help me God." Not only is he a coward, but he dishonored his oath.

OK, my soapbox is over. What do you think?
