I can't blame you buddy. I myself, had already forgotten the reasons because they keep on changing everytime they've been proven false. I can only recall the current reason given to the media, and that is to fight the insurgency. Once the insurgency is gone, another reason will surely come up to keep the American troops there. I suspect it would be: Iraq is too weak to defend itself, or Iran might invade Iraq, or Al Qaeda might sabotage the oil wells.

so I guess we invaded Iraq in order to control oil
billions billions of green dollars possibility..
I read somewhere Saddam Hussein was using only 10%

America oil industry is going to do if we can control Iraq.

saddam defied all 17 resolutions imposed upon him after the first war. He kicked out weapons inspectors giving us reason to think he had something to hide. he was funding terrorism, not Al Qaida, but individuals. he was paying individuals families thousands of dollars to commit terrorists activities against US interests. We invaded because of all these things and to get him out of power and install a government based off of democracy. We did not find nuclear weapons, but we did find chemical and biological weapons. these are considered WMD's. We took Saddam's regime out of power. Installed a government based off of democracy and brought saddam to justice. We did exactly what we went over there to do. Now it's a matter of helping the government until they can properly secure themselves in a country that is harshly divided amongst themselves.
