Actually, I think that the whole plan is to keep the troops there until after the Presidential election. The course that the President takes, will depend on who the incumbant is.

Actually, if you are reading the news, we are making alot of head-way; killing more insurgents. Of course, the news always focusses on the downed helicopters, etc., but I feel we ARE making progress. And I still feel we should "stay the course" until we can make that country as stable as we can and then.............they're on their own.

I personallly cannot understand how a troop surge will help anything, we helped the Iraqi people, I believe increasing personal freedoms are a gift that the Iraqi people will enjoy more as they experience them, but no we should leave as soon as possible and hope that some of the freedom we have allowed leaves a stong enought taste that the majority will not return the restrictive repressive governments they had before

Yes it's amazing that Bush is willing to sacrifice so many lives just so he can shift some of the blame.

We can't leave we're in too deap, if we leave now the country could plunge into deaper turmoil.
We should have never went in there in the first place.
