What will happen if 3rd world war happens and for what it will happen?

Its clear that it will be anuclear war in which whole world may get destroyed according to me their are 2 reasons 1 is water and another is religious(crusade) and I am saying it after the issue which raised after pope said something about Islam and there can be third reason less supported reason i.e. terrorism.

Eventually the nuclear winter will spread to the southern hemisphere and all plant life will die. You ask when is the apacolypse, you are asking when will we commit global suicide. My answer is it won't happen soon because the larger superpowers are more rational than the rump states in the middle east.

Our biggest risk is an accidental launch of nukes by one of the nuclear powers....long before we run out of water, fossil fuels, coal and other natural resources.

A third world war would not be viable for any country at all. We are in affect facing a third world war now, but with politics and small skirmishes. If a "true third came about it would be over in a matter of hours due to mass nuclear attacks that would inevitably follow.

As for why it would happen? Same reason as we all fight. Differance of opinion.

Fidel Castro will then carry on his legacy by passing the hatred knowledge to Hugo Chávez. He will then spread it to do what he wanted to do. "Let's save the human race, let's finish off the U.S. empire" So we will also have Venezuela and maybe
Nicaragua.

Myanmar and Zimbabwe will play a minior role but there is tension already with them.

The 3rd World War will happen for the same reason all wars do extension of power, be it political might or resources.
When it does happen most of the world would be gone or inhabitable what ever is left would have problems rise from all the radio activity around.

It's not clear that it will be nuclear. I'd say its likely not to be. The countries with actual missiles don't really want to use them. The Russian ones are getting to a state of disrepair. China and North Korea are the only real worrisome missile owners.

If it happens it will be similar to WW1. nations will have alliances with other nations and will get dragged into a conflict. People who conduct terrorism largely can't support a full scale war. Especially not a world sized one.

People are largely too unreligious anymore. Christians aren't going to go to war against Muslims. Hindus likely arent going to go to war against Muslims either. Water is a local thing. Nations won't join alliances to wage war over it.
