In the 90's the US military did a war game on just what it would take to secure and subdue Iraq. They came to the conclusion that it would take 400,000 troops 4 to 5 years to achieve the objectives of setting up a democracy in iraq and that then it may not work. They predicted nearly 100% the things that have happened over the past 5 years. It is public record that vet benifits have been cut and that troops are getting poor equipment and not enough of it.
So I ask you who is it that is really not supporting our troops?
I am very proud of our troops and have done much to show it but I do not think given what we know they need and given what they are being supplied with they're mission can be successful therefore why throw teir lives away over an incompetent commander and chief that has armchair quartedbacked his generals since day one?

The government doesn't support the troops. If they did, then they would have better care for the veterans. There would be better care for soldiers returning home injured. The soldiers would be able to have proper equipment. The government shouldn't be increasing the military budget while giving nothing to the actual soldiers.

hell i had no way to get the best equipment to our troops? I am nothing but a bug,,,one person is nothing politically the Dem,s have now as of today,,,flip on the issue of their opposition to the war,,many of them have...and the debate goes on weather or not even to have a debate for the debate of the war and the funding for the war.I do not see the problem,,,victory will be ours soon ,as the insurgents are crushed and beaten down to the sand by our troops...I think to trust a little in bush,,,as the Dem,s now do,,,FLIP FLOP....decider

of course the house and senate support our troops that's y they're trying to get all those young men and women back in the u.s. where they belong instead of having them overseas in middle of a civil war.......also the only way to actually support our troops, is to send ur kids too not just cheer for someone else's. sort of how bush has no problem sending someone else's kids overseas while his twins r too busy getting drunk off tax payers money

The house of representatives is not supporting the troops they have authority over the federal budget and responsibility to fund what our troops need.
