We all know the US didn't get involved till Pearl Harbour, but why did they stay out of the war that had already consumed Europe and their allies in the Commonwealth?

They must be amongst the worst in the world. They kill more of their own than than what is inflicted on them by the enemy.

I was just wondering. Does the First Sgt get any credit for his soldiers reenlisting in his company? Our 1sg seem to really care about his soldiers reenlisting. He will go as far as talking to everyone 1 on 1 and then keep bugging each one of us every 2 weeks. Whats going on here?

My friend is US Army and has recently been posted to Iraq. I have been given an address and my friend and I asked to write out to him, but I am not at all sure if our forces mail service will even recognise the address as obviously it is totally different to a BFPO with it being a US camp. In the UK we have blueys we can send to the British boys and I want to know if anyone will know if they can also be used to send to american camp. If not does anyoneknow if my letter will even get there through BFPO? I have e-mailed BFPO to ask them and have had no response.
I'd appreciate any knowledge anyone has on this.

I think im supporting my troops more by saying they should be sent back home and not fighting in a fruitless and unjustified war.

Unlike the conservatives on this board, I actually value your life and dont think 'Oh well, they are dying for someones freedom, so thats OK then'

America has done so much evil and killed so many, I can't seem to understand why no one is calling it a terrorist state?

For example the unjustefied war against Iran, 2 atom bombs droped in a city full of inocent people, Lebanon war, Veitnam, Golf War, Vensuela and the most recent Iraq war. Ohh yeah, bringing warlords who terrorised Somalia for years to power and bring Somalia to chaos.

My nephew just completed the 3 year max that you can serve as a Thunderbird. He has recently been transfered to Langley Air Force base to be a crew chief on the new F22 fighter.

Thunderbirds aren't given a ribbon, pin, arm patch, etc. to indicate that they have served in this elite group. It's not right!!

The Air Force is very selective about picking the candidates for this assignment. I know for a fact that my nephew is very proud to have served as we family members are proud of him.

I hear all these "untold" reasons, but what are the basic reasons for the war in iraq? bush's way of protecting the US from terrorism? oil? gas?

I dismished a work tool in purpose cause I got upset and someone told on me, the marks showed my anger and they were pretty threatening too. Now I just keep getting deeper in the mud and need to stop it before it goes any further. I learned my lesson but, how to make them belive me?

What is the process? I am wondering why because I know of one that was supposed too, did not, and for a million good reasons including being on land that is rare and it being one of, if not the last mostly intact versions of that land, should not be military.
The land is sacred to two groups, and the ecosystem is is on the top five "threatened and important"by many world preservation groups. Now they want to start bombing there....it seems nuts totally insane.
Any help...please...this means a lot to me.
