Because no one would protect the good Iraqi people who aren't involved in this fight.
Contrary to what the media woud have you believe, this isn't a fight that all Iraqis care about. Many Sunnis and Shia are not only neighbors, but they are friends and have even intermarried.
The problem is with Al-Qaida in Iraq and the Shiite militias. The regular Iraqi just wants security and peace.
That's why they want us here and involved.

"Because no one would protect the good Iraqi people who aren't involved in this fight".
I didn't know we protected any Iraqis.
Our military in the borders and not inside Iraq?. Isn't that an easy target to fire at?. Giving Iran a practice target shooting.
