I dismished a work tool in purpose cause I got upset and someone told on me, the marks showed my anger and they were pretty threatening too. Now I just keep getting deeper in the mud and need to stop it before it goes any further. I learned my lesson but, how to make them belive me?

Look at your time in the navy as an opportunity to change from a youth into an adult. You'll know the transition is complete when you can take responsibility for your actions, admit to others (including the review board) that you did wrong, and accept the consequences for your actions.

Learn from your mistakes. Consider this an object lesson that anger can serve a purpose, but when you make no attempt to stem or control it, it will work against you every time.

A DRB is no big deal just show remorse for being stupid in the past. You are going to get yelled at chiefs like to do that. But answer the questions honestly don't try to tell them what they want to hear, tell them the truth. Until the review board day make sure you are on your best behavior. LPOs and DIVOs tend to believe actions over words so it's not enough to say you have changed you have to make a real effort. Volunteer for crap work before they can assign it to you, show up early and stay late, and for god's sake don't yell at anyone or have an attitude about anything.

I don't think you can stop anything that will be for the people working above you to. You need to show them that you can be a good soldier and that what you did will never happen again. Have you ever been in trouble before? If not than there is a chance that they will give you a light disciplinary action. But I think you need to understand that what you did isn't just a small thing you broke a tool that belongs to the US Navy not your friend you may have to pay for it and they will take it from your pay

I hope it works out for you

First of all, don't volunteer for all the crap work like was suggested earlier. It makes you look like an *** kisser and most LPO's and LCPO's don't like butt lickers. It's OK to volunteer to stay late or come in early to get something done but don't do it just to do it. You have to have a reason for the long hours.

The best thing for you to do is to be honest at the DRB and honestly show remorse for what you did. This isn't a career ending evolution unless you want it to be. It will be reflected on your next eval but it's a lot better than XO's or CO's mast.
