Is it much more light, as in less harder, then it was in the 60s? Because I recently saw the movie Full Metal Jacket, and it looked really tough, I wouldn't be able to get through that at the age I am now (I'm a teenager).

So is it, easier? If so how much easier? I know there have been changes but I don't know what changes.

Status quo has been proven not working.

Adding 21,000 troops is not enough to really quell the violence but the number is already to big for everyone.

There's no effort on the political side, on the contrary Bush is making more enemies with his "toughness".

So what's wrong to pull out immediately and focus on something else more important?

The enemy will follow? Their hatred was built long before the way and they will come anyway. Better find a way not to grant them the visa.

If Bush and Chenney are so worried about enemies, there're quite a few who have proven themselves having WMD. N.Korea, Pakistan, or even India and China? Why don't US launch a war against each of them instead?

My husband is currently out in the field. We have two children, twins who are 2 1/2 years old. He has been to Iraq once but has been home (when not in field or schooling) since the twins were 8 months old. Lately when he has to do a field rotation, or go to some sort of schooling, hes been upset. He constantly asks me how the kids do, are they crying for him, are they asking for him. The truth is the ask 24/7 for him and cry the first few days hes gone. The next few months he will be gone 2 weeks gone, 2 weeks home, until march and that is when our next baby is due then its rumored his unit will be going to Iraq in the summer. My question is, would you tell your husband the truth about the kids missing him, me missing him ect....or say we are all doing ok? How much is to much to tell him?

I think it's some sort of exercise that they do in Marine Corps training, but I'm not sure. If it is, how do you do one? What's the purpose, and what muscles does it exercise?

The news broadcasts will say that a certain number of troops were killed on a given day. A young man from my area recieved injuries while in combat in Iraq. He was air-lifted to a hospital in Germany where he succumbed to his injuries two weeks later. Is his death counted as a causality in the Iraqi War?

I leave for Navy boot camp in two days. My hair is right at shoulder length, it's long enough for a low ponytail but not a higher ponytail or a decent bun. I'm debating wether or not I should cut it to above my collar or leave it. What do you think would bw more logical? I'd like answers from women of the military, please.

If it helps you: My hair is very thick and dry.

I understand that some are hit by hostile fire, But many are reported as mechanical or pilot error.

I live in an area with loads of helicopter traffic: multiple overlapping police agencies, flights to oil rigs, private buisinessmen, some military, and (believe it or not, the largest number of helicopter flights around here is) the movement of cancelled checks from one bank to another.

In the 26 years I've lived here I can't recall a helicopter crash. So why are our people i n Iraq getting killed? Is there something wrong with the aircraft? Are the pilots not experienced enough?

We lost 13 soldiers this wknd and their not sure if it was fired on.

Whay are our people dying?

Now discount-mats' website is experiencing 'technical difficulties' but I think a phone call, letter or email stating your views on their customer service would do well to get the point across.

God bless our soldiers!
