I'm flat-footed. To look at my foot when I'm not standing, it looks normal. However, when I stand, there is virtually NO space between my arch and the floor.
If you're NOT flat-footed, then you don't have a problem with enlisting. If you are, then a Navy doc will have to tell you yes or no.

im flat footed and in the military you can tell by looking at your foot print as in wet foot on pavement a normal arch will show a deffanate inward curve to your print usualy thinning to a a thin print on the sides with the toes and pad under it and your heal to the bottom flat feet will have lot more of a print in the middle this also leads to pain in the feet. but to be realy sure check with a foot doctor

I am flat footed. I passed my physical, qualified and joined the navy. As long as your flat footed-ness doesn't effect your ability to march, it won't keep you from joining the navy. But, if you wanted to join the army or marines, you'd be out of luck.

flat footed is when you have little or no arch in your foot, when your foots wet and you step on the ground if there is little or no arch seen your problably flat footed.
no you dont have to be flat footed to be in the navy, when your flatfooted it is hard to run with out causing foot problems so its better if your not.

At MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) the doctor will have you do lots of little excersizes to see if your limbs work/look right and then the "duck walk" and they will look at how your feet look, among other things. That will decide if you are flatfooted or not.
