I think it's some sort of exercise that they do in Marine Corps training, but I'm not sure. If it is, how do you do one? What's the purpose, and what muscles does it exercise?

stand up
bend over and put your hands on the ground about a foot in front of your feet.
jump your feet back on one motion til you are in the push up position
then reverse..
jump your feet up to your hands then stand and place hands on hips
that's one repetition

it is an overall exercise and helps cardio

I was in the Marine Corps, and it sound new to me. The only bend-and-thrust I know about has to do with sex. It is not related to weightlifting, in that that one is call snatch and grab, which sounds even more obscene, but is not.

isn't it a move in weightlifting... where they bend their knees to lift and then thrust the weight above their heads?
