You'd probably be 17 or 18 by the time your unit is called out to Iraq, you still have boot camp, and MOS school.

you can enlist in the military at the age of 16 with a waiver approved by your parents. However, you would have to turn 17 before graduation from basic training.
As far as civilians, you have to request to come over here, it would never be approved.
