Military - September 2006

This may sound crazy but for a few years I have been involved with the US military and a scientific endeavor that if I told you what it was you would call the funny farm. However it is all true. So, not to lose you, I work for a very secret agency but only they call me. I have no way of calling them. I haven't heard from them in a long, long time but I still do the secret scientific activity. I can't say any more. Sometimes I don't know how to handle it.

I've heard stories and seen pictures of US soldiers sexually assaulting not just the men, but women too. At this site (http://zaprasza.net/bydlo1/ipt.htm), I saw pictures of atrocities, some of which appear to be women being raped, but the site indicated that some pictures from other sites were fakes used as anti-American propaganda. Are Iraqi women being raped?

Ok, husband looking to re-enlist in the us army after 4 years being out. He was infantry and served 4 years active. How hard is it to re-enlist. He is 30 and had honorable discharge. Would he have to take ASVAB again? Would he have to go back through basic training? Any help in this matter would be appreciated. Thanks :)

My fiancé is coming home in a couple of weeks from Iraq, but when is enlistment date comes up in a few months he said that he will not re-enlist because he enrolled at 18 and is now 26, but has already been sent off 3 times in the past 6 years. I want him to re-enlist, but he said that we are going to war with Iran and if he re-enlist he feels for certain that he will be sent off for a 4th time and does not want to do that since we plan on getting married. So again my question is how many times can one soldier get sent off, and will the let you have a break before they send you off again?

Ouch. If the truth is painful ... it hurts. Being brave means facing painful truths.

The truth is, the war in Iraq is a senseless war of aggression .. thus, an INSULT to the soldiers who enlisted to protect our country from aggression. It is a politicians war, the product of some very bizarre manipulations, still unjustified on the same terms it was sold to the public.

What else can we do?

First, educate yourself, and acknowledge the above. Second, write to your state and federal representatives ... Congressmen & Sentors, Governors. Even State representatives belong to the two parties, and a message to them will reverberate at Federal levels.

Third, resolve NEVER AGAIN to blindly support such aggression, to ACTIVELY question your government, forever more.

Finally, be thankful that there is still time and opportunity to make a difference.

Take a moment to think back to how you felt on 9/11 and let those sentiments guide you. ** Fly an American flag of any size on 9/11. Honestly, Americans should fly the flag year-round, but if you don`t, then at least make it a priority on this day.
