I mean, look at Iran and half the west arguing over these nuclear war heads. Surely terrorism doesn't stand a chance next to the very real possibility that a nuclear war will have us all in an early grave by the end of the decade?

my problem was not only his drinking but how he behaved while being under the influence for example he would drive like crazy while being drunk and he would always try to pick fights with other people. he twisted my arm one time while we were arguing. He would go to work drunk. and many other things like that but the last thing he did was kick me out of our our apartment like at 1:00 am with my little girl wich is 2 and threw all my furniture out locked the door and went to work. i had to be out there till 5:00 am untill my friend went and helped me. all we argued about that night was his drinking and the way he behaved and to top it off i found out that im pregnant. so you army men out there cannot tell me that its ok. like i said before i respect that you go to war for this country and no i dont know what you really go through but if you get with someone that you love why do you do these things?

I have heard rumors stating that military persons who came in direct contact with the chemical "Agent Orange" in the Vietnam War were going to receive a cash benefit as compensation for thier exposure to this dangerous and deadly chemical. I was wondering if its true.

I am not asking this because I wouldn't join if the chance is high, I'm just curious. For the record, I know that enlisting means I may be deployed, I understand, I'm just curious. Once again, just curious.

I was dating a guy in the military. He came home on leave on a Wednesday. The friday before I went into the emergency room and found out I was going to have to have sugury to have my gull bladder removed. I called the surgeons office on Tuesday and they set up a consultation appointment for Thursday (the day after my boyfriend got home). I didnt think it would be a big deal to go to this appointment, but as it approached I started getting nervous. I called him on Thursday and asked him to go to the 4 pm appointment with me. I had no one else who could go with. He refused to go with me. He hadn't seen his mother in 5 months and said he had to be home when she got home from work at 4. They had plans to go to dinner at 5:30. Had he gone to my appointment with me he would have easily still made dinner. He wouldn't even call his mom and explain the situation. He said he had to be home when she got home. He says that its just different because he's military. Is he right?

I work in a highly classified field, but these f*ckers are d*cking me around. They play this game where I have no way to contact them. They'll get around to me when they feel like it. Well, screw them. I may go public.

It should. There have been thirty-nine such number two men. Al Quaeda just keeps on truckin' without 'em, unfortunately. http://www.blogenlust.net/2006/09/03/a-list-of-captured-or-killed-al-qaeda-in-iraq-2s/ Hope Olberman doesn't get this list! No telling what he might do with it.

While in basic training my Drill Sgts. told all of the recruits that the only tank that could match the M1A2 tank was Israeli's Merkava. Since leaving I have done some research and found that the two were similar in many ways. Which one would you rather have the M1A2 or the Merkava?

Would the Army want them?
They could have their own units.
We would not have to pay to house habitual criminals, and they could go shoot someone...a WIN-WIN for everyone?

I know that I'm opening myself up for alot of people to be rude and crude and irrational but:

I think that the military members should be paid more. This has been something that has been eating at me for a while. We have people like Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, George Clooney, etc, getting paid millions of dollars to do stupid, pointless movies that the plot line has just been reworded from some other movie, but yet our troops are barely given enough to sustain themselves and or their families on. I personally believe that the troops should be paid more. What do you think? Do you think its fair that we have idiots like Tom Cruise who are willing to jump up and down on a couch getting paid millions of dollars and that we don't pay enough to the people who are willing to lay down their lives for this country?

And don't think the death benefits actually pay off, they don't.
