I have heard rumors stating that military persons who came in direct contact with the chemical "Agent Orange" in the Vietnam War were going to receive a cash benefit as compensation for thier exposure to this dangerous and deadly chemical. I was wondering if its true.

My father-in-law is a Vietnam Vet, and came in contact with Agent Orange. He was contacted last year and told that he was entitled to a cash settlement. He was sent back to the VA Hospital to go through more testing (He was seriously hurt in Vietnam and received a Purple Heart, but until he started going through this tasting AGAIN for the Agent Orange, he had no idea he was entitled to any other benefits besides his retirement check he receives from the Military each months. He served for 23 years) and they defiantly found he came in contact and handled this, and he also was able to start receiving disability for his injuries that occurred in Vietnam, which were sever enough that he was hospitalized for months when it originally happened, and his back and leg's were both messed up pretty awful. But on top of receiving this cash payout do to the Agent Orange, it will also increase his disability checks each month because he came in contact with it. This is all very good news to our family because he just turned 66, and was still working his regular job, but was often taking falls due to his injuries from the war. He and my mother-in-law can now live comfortably without him having to continue to be in pain all the time from the hard job he was doing.

because of the fact "they" are hypocrites? that doesn't go an prolonged way in direction of any answer. definite, all and sundry is so humorous and it purely hurts as quickly as I chortle. i might purely upload one greater prima facie occasion on your checklist. Republicans are meant to be financial conservatives. The Clinton administration left a extensive surplus!! They could no longer wait to get their palms on it. that's no secret to all and sundry anymore that the Iraq conflict became contained in the works long in the previous 9/11. the yank tax payer pours one trillion money down some rat hollow on the different area of the earth at great human cost, Halliburton makes money, and human beings's retirement plans tank massive time. This, from financial conservatives.

Doubtful there will much if any. I recall something about some payments a few years ago, but most were a joke.

Now they are claiming that our Military personnel coming home from the Gulf have a sickness that is "in their head".

I seriously doubt it. If they do, they'll wait awhile longer to let more Vietnam vets kick off. They're cheap and dishonorable that way.
