Depends on the housing project.
You have to check the guidelines for the base.
I know some people allow small pets like dogs and cats (up to 2) while others don't accept pets.
I've heard of places you can have cats but no dogs or weird pets like iguanas and such.
Check with the housing people or usually this info comes up in the Housing Website for the base.
Good luck!

Hi, My name is Heather and my husband and I have lived at various bases in the states and in Germany. We have 3 cats and all three have traveled and lived all the base locations with us. (they even have mini- passports) I have seen some locations with a limit of 2, some 3. Even when its 2, I still have all 3 cats. They are indoor cats, and no one knows the difference. As long as you pick up after your pets and they are relatively quiet you should be ok. I should say that some new housing may have a no-pet policy. Good Luck.
Check out the housing website of where you are going, it should also say.

Regs vary by location. In fact, the same general area can have several different regs. For Instance, in San Diego, Murphy Canyon Housing was allowed 2 pets total, no agressive breed dogs, but Strand wasn't allowed to have any pets.
Generally spaaking, I have never seen any housing, regardless of Branch of service and PPV/MFH allow more than three animals total.

It depends on the base. Where we lived we were allowed two pets (2 dogs, or 2 cats or 1 dog/1 cat). We weren't supposed to have snakes or lizards and I don't' think we could have fish either.

It varies base to base. Our last base let us have three but the one we are at now only allows two. Now that the housing is privatized I think most are only allowing two.

I'm not sure yet. But ask your housing community and they'll tell you. But this is a good question, making me want to call before getting housing!
