While Democrats have been criticized for having no plan for success in Iraq except "cut and run" (despite an actual plan from Murtha available for months), I seem to have missed what the Republican plan is, other than "Stay the Course" or "Adapt to Win" (which aren't plans, only slogans).

I'm primarily interested in an official Republican position, if it exists. If not, an unofficial one will do and surely must exist somewhere.

What is it we're even fighting to fully achieve and what is it we've said we want to achieve? One thing I'm sure of is we don't want to fight forever so what would bring it to a victorious end according to what, we, the American People, have said we want? I'm also sure that victory mean more then one goal being accomplished, what are those goals and how can we achieve them?

IRAN also has the support of Russia and China, who won't support real sanctions on Iran. Even most European nations want a negotiated compromise. What should we do? The fear card is the only weapon to try But we may corner ourselves into some rash military action on Iran which may look Iraq and Afghanistan like picnics. .

Why do we keep killing Al Qaeda members in Iraq? Abu Rana has just been captured in Iraq. While Osamma and Saddam were probably not having tea on a regular basis, Iraq has proven to be a great place to capture and kill Terrorists. This is also true of Afghanistan, where we have just killed 200 Taliban.

Is it not that very poor conduct, bad behavior, lies about it, attempts to spin it away and the coverup of it that leads a nation or it's military to wage wars less and less effectively and justly in such a way that makes wars drag out longer, victories much more difficult or impossible to achieve or even define and futher encouraging even worse behavior sliding ever further down a slipperly slope? Does it lead the nation, it's leaders, it's military and it's people to self delusion? Is truely always trying to honestly and justly conduct ourselves in all our endevors instead of just trying to appear that way what keeps us honest, just, grounded, and good?

The 13th annual "Executive Excess" report from the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) and United for a Fair Economy indicates that "the CEO's at the top 34 military contractors have enjoyed average paychecks that are double the compensation they received in the four years leading up to 9/11."

when he does this: George David, CEO of United Technologies – the maker of the Black Hawk helicopter – pocketed $200 million since 9/11, explaining, "Obviously, military was a big bang for us in the post-September 11 period." UTC is currently suing the Pentagon to stop the release of documents pertaining to Black Hawk quality-control problems.

Would China or Russia actually risk a confrontation with America over Iran?

And if they do, is it not hypocritical for the usa to tell IRAN not to have them? I mean if I was IRAN, I would use the whole thing to 'throw it off'/'play it off'and work on "secret plans" ~ for the best nuclear power systems.... now ideally we would ALL as a world work together on something like this due to the potential dangers involved... I mean would it not be safer if all the brightest minds from all over could come together and "lay their cards on the table" so to speak. ~"nuclear", even the safest types may have drawbacks which may in the long run "undermine" the position. But in a short run man may choose to try something nuclear, sort of like with ethanol...to sort of "get a leg up" ...now man has to be very careful and understand the TRADE-OFF he he considering. SOLAR power, along with WIND are obviously major keys.. and I would like to see minds focussing in that neck of the woods, so to speak. There are other sources of "power/energy" that man may think of in the future

Have you seen the Army times out right now? One of those pictured was my neighbor at Bragg. What do you think about the article? Should the families be doing what they are doing?
