Would China or Russia actually risk a confrontation with America over Iran?

Because a pissed off Iran means more terrorism within Russia. They will remain peaceful and help Iran to the end. US presence in the area has reached a limit and noone will sit back and allow the US to spread even further. On the other hand, they can sit back support Iran with words and $$ and watch the US stretch itself militarily and leave itself vulnurable everywhere for attack. Not to mention the economic suicide that it would be for the US to add another few BILLION dollars in debt. They just have to sit back and watch The US dig its own hole

I really don't think that Russia and China would just sit back and watch...They both have interests in Iran,and,yes,I think they would risk a confrontation with US...They don't want to hear about sanctions against Iran...so I think a military strike would piss them off...

the current situation is most advantageous for them. they stand out for Iran now because they have vests in Iran. Should a confrontation with America happend, China and Russia would not side with Iran, seeing as they both have greater ties, economic or otherwise with America. and confrontation would be disastrous to their respective national econmoy. In short, they wont do it because its not in their best interests.

Neither China or Russia wants an Iran with nuclear weapons. They are holding out for as much as they can get.

Don't think so , but they will continue to sell arms to them.And anything else to make a buck ,like we have done.They will also veto anything we suggest for controlling Iran's nuclear ambitions.They hate us and are willing to take a chance on a terrorist regime.

They will just protest. Actually, I think the U.S. will back an Israeli attack against Iran.

They would be pissed but they wouldn't face the U.S full out. Most likely they would cut off trade with the U.S and would fund the Iranians.
