One of my friends knows i'm not too intelligent in the whole Marines thing so he told me that they wouldn't take him if he had an STD especially HIV and AIDS. Is this true? I've been telling him to get checked and I don't know if he has and he's known to be a liar.

The dad is in the Navy...his ship is underway. How do I go about getting his butt in trouble for this? 3 months is a long time not to pay and I think he should go to jail. The navy was taking it out of his check and he said that they stopped the payments to me...but I don't believe that. Should I call the court house? I just don't know what to do.

I am an American soldier stationed in South Korea when i got here i was alarmed and dismayed and the number of Soldiers particularly young ones who frequent "juicy bars"places where young women are bought and sold from one bar to another brought to Korea under the lie that they will have good jobs waiting for them only to arrive have their passports taken raped and forced into prostitution to our GIs until their purchase price is paid off . This gos against everything the Army stands for and these young soldiers defend the practice. Soldiers have left thier wives for these juicies. These Soldiers also there is nothing to do in Korea but do this, i say its bull.this practice violates the Army values and is just plin humanly wrong. How on earth can we say we defend freedom around the globe and deny it so blatantly to others. Many Soldiers marry their prostitutes then bring them to the USA where they are brought into a new network of slavery. What are your thoughts on this disgrace ?

A terrorist expert said something a month ago that's made me think something fishy is going on in Bush land. He said that whenever Bush or Blairs approval ratings dip, or some negative press comes their way, they use terrorism to make a comeback.

He pointed out that since Bush was catching alot of heat about hurricane Katrina to expect some terror cells to be busted and more threats from terror groups. He said this 3 days ago and sure as sh*#t Al-Qaeda releases a tape and some terror cells have been busted in the past 24 hours.

Is SCARE and FEAR being used to help Republicans and Bush? Will these tactics be used around election time? Will Bin Laden conveniently release a tape just before voting begins? Will so called terror alerts be issued by Republicans around voting time. And are any buying this crap?

Is this whats happening?

Between Afghanistan and Lebanon, the “war on terror” has been used as the justification for military intervention, violence and repression around the world--from the intense pressure on Iran to fall in line with Western governments’ dictates; to Israel’s iron-fisted war on the Palestinians; to U.S. saber-rattling against Venezuela’s Hugo Chávez; to Russia’s scorched-earth campaign against Chechen rebels; to all manner of government efforts, in the U.S., Europe and beyond, to shred civil liberties and clamp down on dissent.

Its not a 'War on Terror' as much as a 'War of Terror' really.

Bush messianic war on arabs oil and land seem to be relying on a fear of pseudo islamofascists or if you like Al-Quaida.

In the link below " islamists" demand americans to convert to islam. This does look very stupid, mainly western world would not convert to islam.. I think the Video produced is an american hoax so the people fear Islam and support the war on arab countries..

in insight it is very much possible that elusive Bush government were responsible for 9/11 because they convoited arab oil..

also, most of the terrorists names released that were responsible for the attacks were Saoudis, I dont know, Afghanistan, Iraq is far away
from the Saoudis..

Would you be surprised to hear one day, that Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Rove ordered 9/11 ?

and Apache helocopters having electronics and computers that need to be repaired. The marines have jets, cobras, landing craft, etc. all with highly advanced technology. now I was a Navy corpsman and am very loyal to the Navy, but I still need to concede that the Army and The Marines have some of the same computer whizes that we do. I know that being a corpsman we always thought we were superior to our counterparts in the other services, but this is a healthy rivalry that creates better service members. What I cannot believe is that most of the technical jobs go to the other 2 branches.

I would like to see how many people today representing Americans support our military and their missions in the middle east and elsewhere. Who here wishes Clinton hadn't reduced our troops by 50% and closed bases? I miss the bases I was surrounded with growing up, they made me feel safe. Do you think are soldiers are Heroes?

My problem is the Uniformed Services Former Spousal Protection Act allows the courts to cut up my retirement and give it to my wife if she decides to leave me. I am not opposed to an equitable division of money after a marriage, but military benefits should stay with the military member. I have plenty of friends who owe money to their ex-wives for the rest of their lives because of this law and those women cheated on them or left them for someone else!!! Does anyone know if a pre-nup will take care of keeping my retirement pay?
