and Apache helocopters having electronics and computers that need to be repaired. The marines have jets, cobras, landing craft, etc. all with highly advanced technology. now I was a Navy corpsman and am very loyal to the Navy, but I still need to concede that the Army and The Marines have some of the same computer whizes that we do. I know that being a corpsman we always thought we were superior to our counterparts in the other services, but this is a healthy rivalry that creates better service members. What I cannot believe is that most of the technical jobs go to the other 2 branches.

I know how to spell technical

the Discovery channel had a special on tanks and I was pretty impressed. it had it fair share of computers and technological gadgets. now i can't believe that a computer that is used to fight the bad guys on land can be inferior to plane flying in the sky. it would still need radar, communication equipment, and guns that can find the enemy with pinpoint accuracy.

Well first of when exactly did you serve? We ALL have equally technical jobs. I, for one am in the Navy (trying to cross rate to corpsman), and right now the job I do I can't go into detail but it is extremely techinical. Every specific branch has technical areas in every Rate or MOS (whatever you want to call it). But it really all is a matter of oppinion I suppose, because I can't surely stack my job up next to my USMC friends and expect it to be technical in the same areas.

Don't get confused with technical job and technology. All services have an overwhelming amount of both. Granted the Air Force and the Navy have a lot of technically orientated jobs, but the Army and Marines also perform many of the same jobs. When it comes down to it, we (all military branches) must perform some highly technical jobs and oftentimes attend the same training. For instance, I attended a Navy run school that hosts all services(this is due in part due to funding...the Navy and Air Force get a much larger portion of the defense budget). The training is highly technical and utilizes instructors from all branches. With that in mind, I would be willing to say that all branches equal out when measuring the overall technical requirements.

Get into area and Missiles interior the Air tension. you're in a somewhat distant section, yet you're in a bunker interior the U. S.. climate is a sturdy one, yet you want an suitable degree. somebody above placed plane maintainer, and that's no longer a solid decision. My husband was once AF plane maintenance and became stationed in Iraq with mortars being fired interior the place on a each and every day foundation. in case you do not have a kin bypass military. except there's an excellent conflict against a rustic with a able military you will possibly desire to be ok (as long as you do no longer do some thing like Seabees, SEALS, or protection tension Police.) i think of the final important attack on a deliver became the united statesCole some years in the past... you could examine Iraq Naval fatalities vs different branches by using dept. of def. stats or information web content for verification. AF & military have fewer fatalities around the board, inspite of field. For the 2nd question, the only squadrons i understand of that don't setting up are training squadrons.

I am former Army (combat vet), and I always had respect for the Navy Nuclear Program. The Army definitely has the best medical corps.
The Army has more aircraft than the Air Force, although most are rotary wing.
The Army has more boats than the Navy, most are inflatable.
The Army Artillery Corps has a great many technical jobs.

Rivalry aside....Everyone has a job to do, and if they all do it well, more service members come home with their dog tags still around their necks.

In terms of aircraft maintenance, the Air Force simply has everyone else outnumbered. I fix F-15's, they can be pretty complicated. On the other hand, the corpsmen fix people, and we haven't developed an airplane that technically advanced yet. The Army runs the patriot batteries that helped me sleep better and the Marines, well, they do have that hovercraft thing. The Coast Guard has a few things going for them, and they have those pretty choppers for when the other technically advanced thing fails and the pilot needs a lift. All in all, it's a fair spread.

You can believe what you want, but the fact is the more technical jobs are in the Air Force and the Navy. It's much more difficult to enlist in the Navy and Air Force. I know many who didn't test high enough. There are more technical jobs than just helicopters and tanks. Tanks can't be too technical, they have to survive on a battle field. So most of their electronics are going to be plug and play. The flight line or the deck of a ship is just a very small world of technical jobs.

Technical jobs belongs to any of the branches of the armed forces and it just depends on the assignment even with someone in with the Army that have tanks, artillery and explosives. The Airforce and Navy are just fortunate that most of the technical equipment belong to their service.

An Infantry division doesn't need all that much advanced computer repair (except for the command and control facilities).
