What is it we're even fighting to fully achieve and what is it we've said we want to achieve? One thing I'm sure of is we don't want to fight forever so what would bring it to a victorious end according to what, we, the American People, have said we want? I'm also sure that victory mean more then one goal being accomplished, what are those goals and how can we achieve them?

A "complete" victory against Islamic terrorism may never be possible. On the other hand, renegade psychos killing and maiming innocent men, women and children around the world is totally unacceptable - for ANY reason.
A realistic victory might be a great reduction in terror attacks and a much better way for the radicals to address their grievances and concerns.
This, based on their past tactics, may not be possible. They don't seem to respond to diplomacy, negotiations, apathy, sanctions or anything else that's been tried. We are dealing with cold blooded thugs - and a military victory through the elimination of their leaders and most fervent followers may be the only solution.

No such thing as a complete victory. Terrorism will always be around as long as the world is made up of heterogenous cultures, religions, races, etc.

Amercia would do better to wake up and realize how our foreign policy gives reasons for terrorist organizations to terrorize us. Eliminating some of the causal factors that give rise and impetus to terrorist acts would go a long way to greatly alleviating the problem.

We have accomplished a lot of the goals we were after. I don't know what all of them are but we have made progress.

One that people fail to mention is the fact that there has no been a terrorist attack on US soil since September 11, 2001.
