Because they are YELLOW! They can't fight their own wars!
Just proves that people in the service are not supported by Republicans! Anyone who would question the patriotism of a person who has a Purple Heart or a Silver Star, or a Medal of Honor because they want to exercise the basic right they fought for are the ones who are anti-American! If they don't support the Constitution, they can just, like they love to tell us, find somewhere else to live!
They would rather support a deserter and a traitor, where the buck stops in leaking an undercover CIA operatives name!
Of course almost none have served and have no clue what a battlefield is like! Most have never seen anyone blown in two in front of them! Bunch of wimps! They wouldn't last one day on a river boat who's main mission was to draw enemy fire so air support could be called in! Nice thought to wake up to every morning that you were going to be used as bait and target practice!!
To the idiot above, Neocons are fascists! Liberal Democrats in large believe Liberalism is an ideology, philosophy, and political tradition that holds liberty as the primary political value. Broadly speaking, liberalism seeks a society characterized by freedom of thought for individuals, limitations on power, especially of government and religion, the rule of law, the free exchange of ideas, a market economy that supports relatively free private enterprise, and a transparent system of government in which the rights of minorities are guaranteed. In modern society, liberals favour a liberal democracy with open and fair elections, where all citizens have equal rights by law and an equal opportunity to succeed.
Can you please point out where you see Socailism, Communism, or even anything you disagree with? You can leave out you racial remarks, we already know you hate blacks, Mexicans, Gays and anyone who isn't a Wasp!

I'm with Daniel D--why else would they spend so much time and breath blaming America first? Not saying patriots can't and don't find fault with their country, but they rarely feel the need to do it so publicly.
Also, if you're referring to John Kerry--I was around for the Viet Nam war, and I remember him all too well. Patriots do not stab their fellows-in-arms in the back the moment they return home. They do not lie or exaggerate about them, and they do not make political hay out of the trials and vicissitudes of combat. Nor to they shovel ammunition to the enemy. Incidentally, though she happens to be a Democrat, too, I feel the same loathing for good old Hanoi-Jane Fonda.
Furthermore, what makes you think it has to be a 'front group' to object to some of the sleazy behaviors of the Liberal Democrats? I assure you, I have much the same feeling for them as some of these 'groups', and I am just a plain, informed citizen.
And to what do I object most strenuously? To their eagerness to undermine this country so they can run it to suit themselves, no matter what it costs the average citizen. When they pay more than lip-service to the good of this country, maybe I'll be willing to give them another look.

Because Karl Rove discovered from history that fear and the emotional state of patriotism are effective tools when justification for empire building and corporate greed cannot be evident to the citizens. Just like the bible thumpers and their phony morality.
By the way, I think "shrty0525" should provide some examples where "Dems" in general are attacking the entire military.

Why is it dems go after the integrity of the military? At least many of those I've seen here. Yes, there are a few bad ones -but the majority are good.
Examples? Look at some of the posts the posts "showing" how the military is full of rapists, baby killers, and killing all these so called innocent civilians - he's (original poster) is speaking in general terms and so am I.
Can you show where reps ALWAYS go after patriotism?

those idiots have no thought what share liberals and moderates AND atheists combat for our united states. 20 year old little ones in wrestle have not got something to do with politics and only desire to kick some A-s-s. we could desire to constantly appreciate human beings's evaluations. with out different evaluations we would in no way come to intent conclusions. think of an ultraconservative united statesa.. we would have a police state (bear in concepts the Patriot Act and Bush wanted to faucet telephones with out in all probability reason) and the Muslims may be in pig pen detention camps someplace in limbo.

Both sides bash each other with phony charges. The Democrats bashed Bush by portraying him stupider than Al Gore and John Kerry yet he got better college grades than both. They are also bashing him for lying about WMD in Iraq even though 500 shell were found. They also bashed Bush for supporting the rich, yet his guys brought down Enron and forced many CEOs and accountants to clean up their act.

Since they can't win the election by the logic of their ideas, they have to use fear and ad hominems so the decision is not based on logical thought.
The Republican Party has done an excellent job of changing the definition of words so that they can push through their agenda. This is the Orwellian double-speak that they used in George Orwell's "1984". You may want to re-read that book since the Republicans seem to be using it as a playbook instead of the warning that Orwell intended.
They've even gone one step better by creating a war on "terror" . Since it has no national boundaries, there can never be an end to the battle. How will we know when we're finished if the enemy is not clearly defined?
Of course, in the eyes of certain posters, anyone who does not believe in their party should be strung up as sympathizers.

It's hypocrisy. The neoconservatives who currently control the Republican party always flaunt how they support the troops and anyone who disagrees with them hates the troops, but then when a veteran (Like John Kerry or Max Cleland) comes along and disagrees with the neoconservatives, the jump all over his service. I could understand disagreeing with the person's views, but it always ends up attacking the persons military service. It is pure and simple hypocrisy. Do one thing when it helps you, and do the exact opposite when it doesn't.
