The Glock model you are referring to is the G18. It is a fully automatic version of the Glock 17, 9mm. They are resticted, new production that is, to law enforcement and military only. The reason to have one is the same as any pistol caliber carbine. The 9mm round from a handgun will not overpenetrate through house walls and will most likely be enought stopping power to stop an individual, especially with Glock factory 33 round magazines.

Some SWAT teams love the model 18 Glock. If you don't have to buy it for them, what do you care?

if your talking about the gun? I have the Glock 21 & 17, and wish I had at least the 3 burst one, or the fully auto Glock. Those would do wonders on the cats that keep getting on my car haha

They're very useful when you come home one evening to find home invaders in the house with one of them raping your wife on the kitchen floor. Very useful indeed.
