Marines deny losing Iraq's biggest province By Peter Graff

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The commander of the U.S. Marine force in Iraq on Tuesday denied his troops had lost control of the vast province they patrol, after newspapers reported his intelligence chief had written a bleak report. ( Note: The report states the Marines are losing control)

A division led by U.S. Marines has faced some of the highest casualty rates in Iraq patrolling the vast western desert of Anbar, Iraq's biggest province and a center of the Sunni insurgency.

The Washington Post reported that officials who have seen a study by the Marines' top intelligence officer in Iraq say he described the situation in the province as lost. Iraq's Shi'ite-led government holds no sway there and the strongest political movement is the Iraq branch of al Qaeda, it concluded.

The Post said it was the USA military is doing its best but it's two steps forward and one step back.

I've been told that although military contracts designate jobs, the military reserves the right to change these jobs if it wants. For example, if you enlisted as a tank fixer, the military could make you be in the infantry AFTER they had garenteed the "tank fixer" job and you had enlisted. Is this true?

I was called a traitor just for commenting that the US used Napalm on the Vietnamese and the US left Vietnam in shame following the fall of Saigon. You are more than welcome to enter a different war if you provide enough justification and a web source.

Therefore, I ask you in a respectful and dignified way where do you think that the US committed the worst war atrocities. This is a heated topic and I have a quick trigger finger on the abuse button for those who want to be immature, irreverent and disrespectful. Your cooperation is appreciated.

I was in military intelligence overseas and personally it makes me mad when I hear muslims in the U.S. and abroad complain about George Bush and the U.S. Just an FYI if you are a muslim, I am glad that my time in the military probably contributed to blowing your muslim brothers in Al Qaeda to kingdom come. Oh and by the way, in the U.S. Military, our bombs are WAY bigger than yours and we can blow you up with them even if you are locked in a concrete bunker a hundred feet in the ground! Sorry about your luck.

I'm surving in the US Army in Afghianistan. On the 9th of September an Al-Queda suicide bomber killed an influntial cleric. two days later another Al-Queda suicide bomber exploded at his funeral, killing 20. No where in any of the reports did it say anything about the american medical personnel that kept the death toll from being double or triple that number. Why don't they tell the whole story?
